I see morphies side has a few mistakes like the noarlunga side.
Shows robinsons mail medal under his name but not steels.
Missing 1 of fishlocks premierships
Doesn't mention taylors or pollards tonnes.

Makes it hard to compare players??!! I hope the SFL has the correct stats and it's the messenger not putting them all in!!

Also missed 1 premiership and Association rep. games (x 3 I think) for Craig Smith.

The team is (I may have one or two positions out of order)--also, I'm hoping I've got the clubs right (main club is listed)

half-back- Ron Branson (Flat), Terry Fitzpatrick (Willunga), C.K. "Pete" Lovelock (Willunga)
back- John Hugo (Flat), Lloyd Binney (Willunga), Gary "Chum" Reed (Willunga)

lst Ruck- Bernie Veide (Port), Wayne Potter (Willunga), Barry Pilmore (Noarlunga)

On the bench-- Paul Crate (Christies), Mick Fitzgerald (Port), Scott Pollard (MV)

Wow- no-one from Reynella? Didnt realise it was the Willunga show. Only 9 players from teams who are still in the comp. Does this indicate we have let the wrong clubs leave the comp over the journey?

thanks, LGIL, I had a feeling one of those old Willunga players was actually Aldinga, but couldn't remember which one.
Re Reynella- I've got an idea on reflection that Gunny's main club was actually Reynella with Morphett Vale his second club ---- coach and player for both. (I may be wrong but my gut feeling is Reynella as his original and major club).
Re Willunga- no surprise to see this club have so many players in the side. Even though they went to Great Southern in the mid-Eighties (winning a heap more there by the way) their SFL Premiership totals is still double that of the next best. --- Willunga 18, Noarlunga and Morphett Vale next best with 9 each. (an incredible record)

Well with the side announced its time for the debate.
The first thing we should do when discussing players that didnt make it (of which there are plenty) is put down who you think they should replace in the side.
Its easy to say he should make it etc but they have to push someone out the side!!!!

I think its very hard to compare players from different era's. I could not suggest any of the current team would not be worthy.. I dont think I was born when most were playing.. But I do think in any circumstance there should be more players from the current generation.

Definately some merit there KD, with only Jolly and Pollard the only players from the last 20 odd years.
Will be interesting when the messenger comes out I assume they will have the team printed with "correct stats" on exactly what these players did and what era they played in. Once that happens we can what out how many are from the different decades.

I heard that current players were ineligable to be selected in the team of all time, is that true? if so it is not really the team of all time.
