Brighton Under 18 still looking for a trial match this Saturday. Our A & B grade are playing Tanunda at Brighton and our preference would be to play at home but can be flexible.
Ring our Secretary David Brown on 0411 590 746 if interested.

Might wander up there for a look and see what Benson has been spending his money on. Will also be interesting to see what Flaggies have been able to do after a few departures. Cold beer, warm night and a bit of footy, sounds spot on!!

great night at blackwood
cold beer, cool breeze, fantastic oval & two teams hard at it - played in great spirit and an enjoyable game with descent skills for march
blackwood 9-7 def flaggies 8-9 with pretty much an AFL free kick for dubious deliberate out of bounds - suppose the umpires had to remind us they were actually there.. umpired really well until then
blackwood ran the ball a lot with short kicks and handpassing - kicked 4 goals in 1st before wind picked up
flaggies got their game going in the 2nd and hit the front at half-time - keeping the woods goalless even thought they were going with the wind
flaggies seemed a lot quicker and kicked long but couldn't hit their targets often enough
tackling was superb - defensive skills very good
the falcons won the ruck most of the night - noticed herbert on the sidelines - has he retired or easing himself back in
falcons had 3 relatively easy shots at goal (into the wind) which should have put the woods away - the rest is history...

Herbie would be easing himself in. God he must nearly 40 now. Lol. Great bloke but is a bit injury prone and the hard decks are not his forte.
