T Tedmanson had a great year but Nick Manhood may have taken a few votes off him

Eagleton polled well for a lot of the year, but was quiet in the last few weeks. Tedmanson has had a great year. Too close to call, but I am surprised that Cranston isn't in the top 4, had a super year and was a big factor in MVP's great year. Also surprised that Petersen-Gray from Valley isn't around the mark, was a massive contributor all year. Maybe he talks to the umps too much?

i thought it was normally top 5?

might this mean that there may be a few blokes equal 5th, and instead of inviting 7 or 8, they went with the top 4?

I note another Christies player in the top few. The saints always seem to have someone high up in the votes.

LGIL, is this more of a case of having a stand out player reaping most of the votes through the year during the wins?

Ryan being captain would assist in his relation with the umpires but he has played some good footy, he hasn't particularly stood out in the wins, rather played consistant footy over the year.

I am thinking he has probably picked up a few 1s and 2s in some of the losses. His dreadlocks probably don't harm him either :)

It is great recognition for a very fair and committed footballer who has led from the front all season. I was surprised when he was not considered for the Association squad, especially as he had previously played in winning SAAFL sides against the SFL.

Has been a great recruit for us.

Thanks LGIL, nicely done. Good luck to him!

Reckon Eagleton may get it.

Only 4 invites!!! You kidding me! Wow the suspense on what player may win it from what club will be riveting...... :-q

Previous years have had a top 6 invited which is a farce also. For christs sake make it interesting and invite the top 2 or 3 votgetters from EVERY club and have a bit of wonder and fascination about it. Most or all other leagues invite a lot more, why does the SFL do it this pathetic boring way!!!!!

Especially seeing the clubs have to pay for the tickets, you would think that they may like to have a few A Grade players there to add to the evening.

I suppose when you have the quality of the people running the SFL currently, you can't expect too much.

Agree with this 100%

Do the 4 invitees all sit on the same table and twiddle their thumbs?

Not sure about 14's, 16's or B GRade, but do know that Scott Rose from Happy Valley won the C Grade medal.
