Ty's family have been involved with the club for sometime - It's great to have him on board along with Clay once again.

Has this been confirmed? My understanding he has been having several discussions with Happy Valley?

Trevor Potts would also be a great coach choice. Anyone got any updates here?

Happy Valley Football Club is proud to announce Stephen Keam as the 2015 A grade and Club Coach.
Stephen took a break from coaching in 2014 but previous to that was Marion A grade and Club Coach for 3 years.
2007-08 north Adelaide Football Club U/19'S Coach
2006 - Board Member South Adelaide Football Club with an emphasis on football operations. Assisted in operations of U/17 and U/19's. Also in 2006 Stephen coached the SFL association side.
2004/05 - South Adelaide Football Club u/19's and Reserves assistant Coach, as the reserves assistant Coach assisted with the league side at training and on game day.
2001/02 - St Peters Old Collegians Football Club A grade Coach
1995/99 Reynella Football Club A grade Coach
1988/93 - Aldinga Football Club A grade Coach
Playing career
122 league games- 114 South Adelaide and 8 Norwood plus 100 reserves games.
As you can see Stephen has a strong coaching and playing reume that will benefit the Vikings. He has a strong emphasis on communication and is very interested in developing players to be the best that they can be. Respect for all club members is paramount in Stephens thinking. Describing himself as a people person, Stephen looks forward to interacting with all parts of the Club.

Who's this imposter. There's only room for one Mister Footy on this forum. Interesting to hear the views of the other Mr Footy on the HV appointment. Interesting that the SFL is losing coaches to mid to low grade SAAFL clubs. Is the expectation and commitment of being a "club coach" at clubs with as many as 8 senior/junior teams plus Minis becoming too daunting for some current or prospective coaches.

To me it seems Keam has a very strong history at SANFL level and SFL. Time will tell, but from all accounts he carried the club at Marion and should thrive at a club with better resources and a playing group hungry for success. Time will tell, but I think he deserves a crack at a better gig. Wish him well as from all reports he is a quality bloke and a great club man.
