Sammy loves his food, especially the Lonsdale Bakery's pies, pasties, s\rolls, kitchen buns, custard tarts, vanilla slices, apple turnovers, cream buns, lamingtons.
I know when he's been there as they've sold out of everything! :-&

What the
I dont have anything to do with Tim Richards bigbadkenny, i'm sure he's got a mind of his own & can make his own decisions.
You should be asking him not me.

I think he admires the success he had as a coach with Jervois, its probably why he was asked to speak to the Brighton boys.
Nothing wrong with that is their BigBadKenny?
Or are you taking the p!ss out of him for some unknown reason?

Good to see the Brighton thread at the top of the forum. Sam invited Tim down for a chat to the boys a couple of weeks ago. I believe the boys took some good from listening to someone who has had alot of success at community footy level. We've beaten Reynella and Morphett Vale since then so whatever he discussed hasn't done the boys any harm.

Next thursday the club members vote to stay or go for 2013. Div 3 or stay in SFL. Would be interesting to hear from a few Brighton boys on what they think or even some of the parents of the juniors.

Im not familiar with how the juniors work in the SAAFL, but if i was a senior footballer at Brighton, i would vote go, every day of the week. They would surely be successful in Div 3, and would only make their club stronger in years to come. Their club is never going to be near the bottom of the ladder in the SFL due to the constant influx of talented kids, so what would they possibly achieve by staying? Like i said, i have no idea how things work behind the scenes in the SAAFL, but based purely on the focus of the A Grade, the decision is surely a no brainer. Curious to know whether anyone has any reasons why staying would be a good idea?

Juniors would have to join metro south as SAAFL only goes down to under 18 level played on Sundays. Brighton would be the southern most club if they join and would enjoy trips to Henley Beach and the Port to play footy.

Might also be an opportunity to have a second side in a different under 18 division if they have the numbers

Under 18 footy is on the decline in SAAFL so it might be a backwards step...

Would Brighton really want to travel out to Elizabeth/Salisbury regularly to play Ammos?

Maybe this might just hasten the 2 Div proposal, which would be a good thing

IMHO it is exactly why they are doing it. Obviously Brighton are all for 2 divisions and are using the SAAFL as a bargaining tool to force the SFL's hand.

Perhaps if Brighton had a couple of stronger clubs around them and looked elsewhere as a group would really back them into acting and fast.

Have been talking to a guy at work who plays in the SFL, and we think that if Brighton go, there could be a big exedus of teams from the SFL. Just talking shit, but it seems possible for the SFL to be a distant memory if they dont implement a 2 division system sooner than later.

Brighton, Morphettville, Edwardstown, Cove and maybe Marion to the SAAFL

Old Noarlunga, Porties, Morphies, Reynella, Christies, Aldinga, Lonsdale and Hackham to Great Southern to make 2 divs

Flaggies and Happy Valley to the Hills League

As I have heard Blackwood and Kangarilla to the SFL if 2 divisions were created, on numerous occasions.
How much substance...no idea...
