Disappointing for those who haven't had the joy of seeing Metallica play live. There's nothing like hearing the classics pumped out in the flesh, especially some of the 'Justice' material that is nigh on impossible to play. Sadly, the master of puppets keeps pulling Hetfield's strings. Hopefully they can come back through this part of the world at a later date.

Agree that 2010 was very good (night one for me as well), but IMHO 1993 Black Album tour was better. Jason Newstead sported a surprising buzz-cut, and Kyuss supported with an unknown dude called Josh Homme on guitar. ;) Bought their album after that gig. Just wish I'd seen the Justice tour at Thebby in 89.

Good news today with Pennywise announcing their Australian tour to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Straight Ahead, coming to Adelaide Feb 14th. One of my favourite albums!

Was going to say the Femmes must be bloody old but was suprised to find out they're under 60.
Would have loved to see them in the mid 80s but might still go see them. Would probably be worth it for the people watching aspect alone!

Went and watched the S&M2 movie on Friday night.

Bar Lars crapping on at the start, middle and end the movie left me a little disappointed. The actual show, across two nights, was 20 songs with 10 played each night, I can't recall the exact playlist in the film but it would have been 12 songs, maybe 13 with several from the live show missing the cut.

I just wanted to see the two nights, one song after another, no preamble, no wank, just play.

Having said that, I'd go watch it again, what we did get to see was outstanding, particularly the electric double base solo. Bravo!

Always a tough ask whenever Lars get near a camera, unfortunately.

Sold it to my sons mate for $50.

Looking forward to it!
