The publican that runs the Crown & Anchor is taking over the Ed Castle whilst the Cranker closes for 2 years in mid-July. In saying that I would've thought No Fun At All would be too popular for a Cranker/Ed Castle so don't be surprised if it sells out quick it might get moved to Lion Arts Factory.

Makes sense. Not sure how big the crowd would be, the Gov would have been about right. I thought Pulley would have been bigger than the Cranker too. That was a great show in a shoebox.

We've seen them close to 30 times since the BDO in 98 I think.

That was the year I saw them 98 at Heaven with Testeagles. I remember I wanted to see Grinspoon in 97 at Adelaide Uni with a band I loved Non-Intentional Lifeform but a girl I was seeing at the time didn't want to go so I never went but it always annoyed me as I never got to see NIL and they broke up a few years later.

I’ve lost count of the times I’ve seen them.

Just realised this is same time as Oasis concert in Melbourne
Both my teenage kids want me to take them to the Oasis concert on either Nov 1 or 4th so won’t be going to this now!
At $300+ for GA for Oasis it’s gonna be an expensive trip!

I read the Oasis show on Melbourne Cup day is the only show of their global reunion tour that isn't sold out. Pretty incredible especially given they're playing stadiums everywhere.

Still limited tickets to Saturday show in Melbourne but plenty left for cup day concert
Going to cost me $1000 to take my 2 kids to a concert for a band I don’t even like.

Okay cool that was incorrect info I read then on the Oasis sub-reddit. Too rich for my blood that. If Oasis were coming here I probably would've gone, assuming the Gallagher brothers haven't killed each other before then.

I remember of their Be Here Now tour must've been 97 or 98 back when Oasis were probably the biggest band in the world I went to the Hyatt to get their autographs. All the Oasis fans were out the front waiting for a glimpse but the big bands rarely go through the front door. I dressed up nice walked inside like I was meant to be there sat down in the lobby pretending to read the paper keeping my eyes peeled.

About an hour later Noel comes in through a side door so jumped up and got him to sign an Oasis poster, as I didn't have any of their albums at time. Liam came through the same door about 30 mins later with big gorilla security guards surrounding him, even though I was the only person there inside to get his autograph. After I got their autographs I just walked out through the screaming girls out the front oblivious that they had already arrived and bumped into a couple of other Oasis members one out front of the train station and another in Hindley street so got four of the five band members.

I think Liam headbutted someone on the flight to Perth after the show here and Qantas gave him a life ban
