The acts are gonna include Severed Heads, Deerhoof, one of the blokes from The National...

Looks like I'll be seeing a few Festival shows next year.

Just got back from Severed Heads.

Wow.

You Am I to reprise classic albums on national tour

You Am I to reprise classic albums on national tour
BY: SARAH SMITH ON MON 8TH APR, 2013
You Am I will re-release their classic albums Sound As Ever (1993), Hi-Fi Way (1995) and Hourly Daily(1996) on June 7. The re-mastered editions of the band’s first three records will include a second bonus disc of B-sides, live recordings, live studio tracks and expanded booklets featuring rare pictures and memorabilia.

To mark the occasion You Am I will also embark on an Australia-wide tour this July, playing both Hourly, Daily and Hi Fi Way in their entirety at each show. Dates and venues for the tour are expected to be announced later this week.

The band have been hinting at a special announcement for over three months now, sharing pictures of old cassette recordings, concert posters and photo shoots on their official Facebook page. In a statement released this afternoon, they finally confirmed what many fans had suspected for sometime and have encouraged Yom Am I devotees to get involved in the project: “We’re still working on the track-listings because we keep discovering cassettes, DAT tapes and 4 track recordings that few people have ever heard”, the band explained. “We are trying to leave no stone unturned so if you have anything you think is worthy of inclusion please let us know now.”

They have also said that there will be a small number of “pre-order fan packs” containing “everything the self respecting You Am I fan would desire”, available from youami.com.au on Friday, 12 April from 9am.

For me it's Hifi Way just edging out Hourly, Daily.

It will be the Aussie version if Hourly, Daily they will play so unfortunately we won't hear Oppprtunities and Trike

Spewing about Trike, killer song.

Hourly, Daily was their first album I got into. As a 12-13 year old, songs like Tuesday(I even named my old band after this song) , Soldiers, Good Mornin' and Mr. Milk were all over Triple J that year.

Hi-Fi Way was, in my opinion, just about as good. Songs like How Much Is Enough, Cathy's Clown, and Purple Sneakers are must haves on my iPod.

But I'll always go back to Hourly, Daily for that nostalgia effect.

I think Dress Me Slowly is a dark horse though, I think it's bloody underrated.
