It will be the Aussie version if Hourly, Daily they will play so unfortunately we won't hear Oppprtunities and Trike

Spewing about Trike, killer song.

Hourly, Daily was their first album I got into. As a 12-13 year old, songs like Tuesday(I even named my old band after this song) , Soldiers, Good Mornin' and Mr. Milk were all over Triple J that year.

Hi-Fi Way was, in my opinion, just about as good. Songs like How Much Is Enough, Cathy's Clown, and Purple Sneakers are must haves on my iPod.

But I'll always go back to Hourly, Daily for that nostalgia effect.

I think Dress Me Slowly is a dark horse though, I think it's bloody underrated.

My fav is Sound as Ever. :) All before them.

A YEAR AGO WE TEAMED UP WITH OUR FRIEND FROM SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS, PAUL PITICCO, TO PUT ON A BITE-SIZED VERSION OF THE FESTIVAL RIGHT HERE IN ADELAIDE. IT WAS A BIT OF A RISK, BUT WITH ALL OUR SOULS AND ENERGIES INVESTED INTO IT, WE WERE CONFIDENT OF PULLING IT OFF. AND IT WAS GREAT - LANA DEL REY WAS MAGICAL, KIMBRA WAS COLOURFUL, BAND OF SKULLS WERE ROCKIN AND THE CROWD, THE THOUSANDS THAT TURNED UP TO OUR PARTY MADE IT ALL THE MORE SPECIAL. IN THE END WE HAD SO MUCH FUN WE HAD TO DO IT ALL AGAIN.

THANKFULLY IN 2013 THE STARS HAVE ALIGNED ONCE MORE AND WE HAVE ANOTHER AWESOME POOL OF ACTS TO CHOOSE FROM - ITS LITTLE WONDER THAT SPLENDOUR SOLD OUT IN MINUTES. BUT HOW DO YOU PICK FROM SO MANY GREAT BANDS? UNFORTUNATELY WE COULDNT GET THEM ALL - WE WOULD IF WE COULD - BUT WE'ARE PRETTY DARN EXCITED ABOUT THE ONES WE SNAGGED. SO COME AND JOIN US AT THE ONLY PLACE OUTSIDE OF BYRON BAY WHERE YOU CAN SEE ALL THESE AMAZING ACTS UNDER THE ONE ROOF. WELCOME TO SPIN OFF 2013!
SPIN OFF FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE AT THEBARTON THEATRE ON FRIDAY AUGUST 2, 2013.
PRE-SALE TICKETS AVAILABLE TO SPIN OFF MAILING LIST SUBSCRIBERS FROM 9AM, WEDNESDAY MAY 8
TICKETS ON GENERAL SALE 9AM, FRIDAY MAY 10 THROUGH VENUETIX.

SO WITH NO FURTHER ADO, WE PRESENT YOU THE BANDS WHO WILL BE SPINNING OFF WITH US IN 2013
OF MONSTERS AND MEN
THE ICELANDIC KIDS BEHIND THE MONSTER HIT "LITTLE TALKS" ARE RETURNING TO ADELAIDE. THE FIRST SINGLE LIFTED FROM THEIR DEBUT ALBUM "MY HEAD IS AN ANIMAL" WAS AN UNPRECEDENTED SMASH BOTH IN THEIR HOMELAND (WHERE IT HIT NO, 1 IN THE CHARTS) AND RIGHT HERE IN AUSTRALIA (WHERE IT PEAKED IN THE ARIA TOP 10 AND FINISHED RUNNER-UP IN TRIPLE J'S HOTTEST 100). FOLLOWING A SHORT AUSTRALIAN TOUR EARLIER THIS YEAR AS PART OF THE LANEWAY FESTIVAL, THE INDIE DARLINGS ARE RETURNING TO HEADLINE SPIN OFF 2013. HEY!

CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO "KING AND LIONHEART"
PASSION PIT

IF PURE, BLISSFUL HAPPINESS COULD BE BOTTLED, DRUNK BY TALENTED MUSICIANS AND CHANNELLED THROUGH THEIR INSTRUMENTS, THE RESULT WOULD SOUND LIKE THE SONGS FEATURED ON PASSION PITS TWO ALBUMS "MANNERS" AND "GOSSAMER". THEIR WINNING RECIPE OF FUZZY SYNTHS, LOOPING SAMPLES AND HEAD-RUSH RHYTHMS HAS WON THE NEW YORK OUTFIT COUNTLESS FANS SINCE BURSTING ONTO THE SCENE IN 2009. SONGS LIKE "SLEEPYHEAD", "LITTLE SECRETS" AND "TAKE A WALK" ARE SURE TO GO DOWN AS ELECTRO POP CLASSICS AND PASSION PIT ARE SURE TO GO DOWN A TREAT THIS YEAR AT SPIN OFF.
CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO "CARRIED AWAY"
SNAKADAKTAL
EVER SINCE TAKING OUT TRIPLE J'S UNEARTHED HIGH COMPETITION IN 2011, SNAKADAKTAL HAVE BEEN AN UNSTOPPABLE FORCE IN AUSTRALIAN MUSIC. THEIR DEBUT SELF-TITLED EP EXHIBITED SOME OF THE MOST REFINED AND MATURE SOUNDS TO COME FROM A BAND STILL IN THEIR TEENS, PERHAPS EVER. THEIR SINGLES "AIR", "CHIMERA" AND "DANCE BEAR" OOZE WITH AN EMOTIVE CHARM AND WITH A DEBUT ALBUM FROM THE MELBOURNE TEENAGERS SLATED FOR RELEASE LATER THIS YEAR, SNAKADAKTAL LOOM AS A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH AT SPIN OFF 2013. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO "DANCE BEAR"
CHET FAKER
IF YOU HAVENT YET EXPERIENCED THE EAR MELTING, INTIMATE SOUNDS OF CHET FAKER THEN HERE'S YOUR CHANCE. HAILING FROM MELBOURNE, THE 23-YEAR-OLD INSTANTLY CAME TO EVERYONE'S ATTENTION WHEN HIS COVER OF "NO DIGGITY" BY BLACKSTREET HIT NO. 1 ON THE WORLDWIDE INDIE MUSIC AGGREGATOR, HYPE MACHINE. HIS SOULFUL DEBUT EP "THINKING IN TEXTURES" WON HIM A BUNCH OF AIR AWARDS LAST YEAR AND ROLLING STONE NAMED IT BEST INDEPENDENT RELEASE'OF 2012. HE HITS THE ROAD AT THE END OF APRIL, WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY LEAD HIM TO SPIN OFF THIS AUGUST.

CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO "LOVE AND FEELING"
FIDLAR
F*** IT DOG, LIFES A RISK. THEIR NAME ALONE SHOULD TELL YOU THIS BAND MEANS BUSINESS!!BASHING OUT HYPER RECKLESS GARAGE CHANTS ABOUT LOOSE PARTIES, CRAPPY GOON AND CHEAP DRUGS, FIDLAR ARE A WHOLESOME BUNCH. FORMING IN LA IN 2009, THEIR SONGS HAVE TITLES LIKE "WAKE BAKE SKATE", "CHEAP BEER", "MAX CANT SURF" AND "NO WAVES NO ASS". THE BAND IS LEAVING A TRAIL OF MAYHEM AND DESTRUCTION AS THEY TOUR THE US WITH WAVVES AND ARE SET TO GO LARGE WHEN THEY HIT AUSTRALIAN SHORES FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME THIS JULY. PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR FIDLAR. PLAY HARD OR GET OUT!! CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO "NO WAVES"
THE JUNGLE GIANTS
THESE HOME-GROWN INDIE POP STARS ARE SET TO BRING BOUNDLESS ENERGY TO THE SPIN OFF STAGE IN 2013. THEIR SELF-TITLED, SELF-RELEASED DEBUT EP MAY HAVE COME FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS BUT IT STOOD OUT AS A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH. A YEAR LATER THE BRISBANE FOUR-PIECE PROUDLY INTRODUCED THEIR SECOND EP "SHE'S A RIOT" TO RAVE REVIEWS AND TOOK OFF ON A BUNCH OF TOURS WITH FAMOUS FRIENDS LIKE TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB, THE VACCINES AND 2012 SPIN OFF ALUMNI LAST DINOSAURS. ANOTHER BAND THAT"S EXPECTED TO RELEASE A DEBUT ALBUM SOON, SEE THE GIANTS AT SPIN OFF FOR A TASTE OF THEIR NEW TUNES! CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO "YOU'VE GOT SOMETHING"
DUNE RATS

HAVING ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT FOR THE PAST YEAR AND A HALF, DUNE RATS ARE ON A HIGH OF THE UNCHARACTERISTICALLY LEGAL VARIETY. SINCE THE RELEASE OF THEIR DEBUT EP "SOCIAL ATOMS" IN 2011, THE BRISBANE STONER POP DUO HAVE MAINTAINED A PROLIFIC RADIO PRESENCE, WITH TRACKS LIKE "POGO", "F*** IT" AND "RED LIGHT GREEN LIGHT" ALL EARNING HIGH ROTATION AROUND THE COUNTRY. THEY'VE BEEN NO STRANGERS TO THE LIVE ARENA EITHER, PLAYING ALL OVER AUSTRALIA AND THE US, AND THIS YEAR THEY HEAD TO SOUTH AFRICA, CHINA AND SOUTH EAST ASIA BEFORE SETTING SAIL FOR SPIN OFF 2013.

Black Sabbath's concert last night was awesome. They opened up with War Pigs and it was f**king sick, my highlight of the night. N.I.B, Fairies Wear Boots, Children of the Grave, Behind the Wall of Sleep, Snowblind and Under the Sun were all great to hear live. They played Paranoid last and thought it was ok but not great, thought the old fella's especially Ozzy would of been stuffed by then lol. As for Ozzy he looked very frail but his voice was as good as ever, it was amazing to hear him sing live.

Had today off work and been cranking Sabbath all day.

Adelaide certainly responded to Sabbath changing their mind and coming to Adelaide, the Entertainment Centre was at pretty much full capacity.

LOL !! just listening now to Dirty Women on the headphones!!

Fantastic concert. Seen Ozzy solo last time in Adelaide but have to say to see him in Sabbath ticked off a part of my bucket list!!!

He looks old and frail and had the teleprompter but I did not care........

I am a HUGE fan of Tony Iommi and he is the master of the heavy metal riff!!! He turned it up to 11 and cranked it high.....he is such a cool character. Geezer on bass ....no emotion, did his job and killed the 4 string fret board. The Highlight for me was watching Tommy Clufetos HAMMER those skins!!! Looked to me like a young John Bonham !!!! The drum solo was insane!!!!

So glad I saw this.....crowd was huge and for a Adelaide crowd were loud.

Song highlights for me : War Pigs, Dirty Women (killer solos by Tony!!), Black Sabbath, Symptom of the Universe (regarded as the first full heavy/speed metal song ever!!).

Would have loved to hear Sweet Leaf or Sabbath Bloody Sabbath or Changes in full but very satisfied never the less.

Glad you enjoyed it Dark Knight :)

Certainly did mate, just amazing. :)

I had blokes behind me that keep calling out for them to play Changes, would of been sick to hear that but ah well, still a great setlist.

Loved how they just got up there and played from the get go, didn't muck around.

The videos they played on the big screens that went along with the theme of each song were a nice touch.
