Former GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler has recruited Constantine Maroulis of "American Idol" and "Rock Of Ages" fame to front the newly formed ADLER'S APPETITE FEATURING CONSTANTINE MAROULIS. The new group will make its live debut on May 10 at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood before embarking on a 10-date Australian tour, summer festival appearances and a longer fall tour.

If only it was 1976
On another note, has anyone seen the Australian Pink Floyd. They are over here this year. Ive heard they are the best Floyd tribute band around ??

I have, they are well worth a look.
Might add, so too is Just Floyd if you see them pop up anywhere (perhaps not for JTC) . their rendition of "Great gig in the sky" was simply mind blowing. The lady singing absolutely nailed it, was spine tingling and the crowd gave her due recognition.
Live Evil covering the Dio era of Sabbath were on point, the singer taking on a tough task trying to emulate the great Ronnie James, he does a good job.
On the night where Wa Wa Nee's Paul Grey passed away I watched on as guitarist Steve Williams from Wa Wa Nee ripped up his fender playing some awesome Deep Purple tunes. Woman from Tokyo and Strange kind of woman were both very, very good.

QOTSA and Def Leppard both announced Aussies tours and both coming to Adelaide!
DL playing Hysteria in full will be awesome, that album was the soundtrack of my teenage years.

DL bringing The Scorpions with them. Pretty solid support act.

DL coming to Manchester. Thought about tickets but I can’t quite get into them. A bit too much on the fringe of my kind of music. Having said that so many bands are so different live. Thin Lizzy springs to mind. I always considered them too commercial and verging on Glam Rock, but **** me, they turned it on on stage.

The 70’s line up was sensational. I’ve seen them maybe 10 times.
Saw them once at Accrington Town Hall. Think they were actually support to Motörhead who didn’t turn up. Scorpions did an extended set to make up. Memory is a bit fuzzy.
Saw them at Lakeland Lounge, which was the upstairs room of Bold Street Working Men’s Club in Accrington. Room was about 100 sq mtrs at most. 1st time they were there I was sat about 3 feet from Rudi Schenker’s guitar. I was deaf for two days
Funny thing was whilst Scorpions were blasting out ‘In Trance’ upstairs, dowstairs a handful of old pensioners were playing snooker and dominoes
Thanks for bringing back some great memories

Speaking of cover bands both Let’s Zep the Ultimate Eagles are both very good and worth a look if they turn up down under. Seen both a few times and they’ve never disappointed.
Always a chuckle at a Zeppelin tribute concert full of old, grey haired fatties in swan song tee shirts 4 sizes too small ( me included
)

I saw Def Lepard in the round in the 90s when Adrenalize came out. Then one armed drummer worth going to see alone. If they were doing a normal greatest hits tour I'd consider it but the last concert I saw on TV was over a decade ago with Taylor Swift. Was pretty ordinary and they looked about 100 then. Might work instead and listen from outside the doors.

Yep, I saw them in 08/09 and they were terrible. Cheap Trick however, who backed them up, were magnificent.

Would love to see Cheap Trick but not paying to see Foreigner. Wish these parkland concerts would **** off too, much prefer the Entertainment Centre.

Hysteria remains one of my favourite CDs. I’ve never seen Def Leppard live but after a watching a bit of their recent live stuff on YouTube I think I’ll give it a miss.

Such a shame the Angels are doing another symphony concert, the last one with Doc was perfect. I'm disgusted with the Brewsters as to how they keep cashing in on the brand. No Doc, no Angels.

Headed off to the Entertainment Centre for The Killers final gig on the NZ/Aus tour.
The night started out quite humorously.....the first act....he was on some good gear and should thank his lucky stars for being able to play....
Second act - Alex Cameron. An electric keyboard 80s sound. They were quite good and very solid.
The Killers....wowee what a show. It was sensational from start to end.
You always fear the worst with last shows. But this was brilliant. Brandon was on top of his game and genuinely seemed happy to be there.
The 'Tim from Adelaide' who did drums on 'Reasons Unknown' did a good job and was as happy as a pig in shit. Also got a mention from Brandon 'could teach Ronnie a thing or two'..... well as it turns out Tim has indeed taught Ronnie a thing or two over the years... and Tim from Adelaide also did this in the Melbourne shows. Having seen youtube gigs....this is something that has been done. But before Ronnie has been there to lend a guiding hand to the drummer....but on tuesday he played the bass during the song. So alarm bells went off for me....but its a show...they're from Vegas.....and there was no feeling of being cheated etc...
A highlight personally was 'Dustland Fairytale' a song with lyrics that hit home.
It was a cracking night.
