Bands coming to Adelaide

Postby rsemmler » Fri Nov 16, 2007 5:50 pm

While I normally see a lot of bands anyway, the next few months there are an absurd amount of bands coming to Adelaide. Up until February I'm seeing..

- Soundwave Festival (50+ bands - Offspring, Killswitch Engage, Coheed & Cambria)
- Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish
- Big Day Out (40+ bands - RATM, etc, etc)
- RATM (in Melbourne)
- The Police
- Slava Grigoryan (Adelaide International Guitar Festival - 100+ guitarists)
- Irrelavant, Carpathian

Have also seen Bad Religion/Strung Out and Linkin Park in the last few weeks. Would be good to hear from anyone who is going to these shows.

rsemmler- will more than likely be at Irrelevant. Also goin to Police, and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Have to check out Soundwave festival (heard about it but wanna see Killswitch again for sure!), and Parkway Drive are apparently playing HQ early next year (hopefully get a ticket this time!!)

Went to Bad Religion, Megadeth and Machine Head in the past few weeks- the wallet has taken an absolute beating....and it looks like continuing!

Sonic Youth are coming to Australia and doing their brilliant album "Daydream Nation" live with support by The Scientists doing "Blood Red River".
If it's going to Adelaide see it! If not get to Melbourne to see it. Promises to be superb (if you are over 35 and stuck in the "good" 1980's  )

I'll probably head along to Sonic Youth too, it would have to be the last time they come to Australia.
