Joined the beer line at 8.00pm, got beer at 8.29pm, Oils commence 8.30pm. Never seen bigger lines for grog at AO.

Apart from that great night out, loved the venue, hope they use it for similar sized concerts in the future.

29 minutes for a beer isn't bad, really.

I reckon I waited nearly an hour at Guns N Roses for one.

A beer is not worth a 30-60 min wait

Got my tickets sorted already. 8)

Also worth mentioning the Balanescu Quartet here for the Festival. Caught them at the festival well over ten years ago, and it remains one of the best live music experiences I have ever had.

All of the above- except we got there at 7.15 and got a beer at 8. Well actually I got 4 beers cos buggered if I was waiting again.

Mental note if a Village Green show is sold out again and you wanna go, simply stand outside, you can see the stage!

The Oils certainly haven't lost it. Great show great venue.
The beer lineups sucked though, but I thought the crowd were patient.
Bloody thirsty bunch!

I got there spot on 7pm and the members bar was packed so we walked to the makeshift bar in the south western corner and got 4 beers straight away.
Turned around 10 minutes later and there was a massive lineup.
Once the Oils started playing it was pretty easy to get a beer though.

Great Concert!

Pennywise at HQ last night, they were awesome but really it was the Bronx who killed it as their support act.

I went and saw the Melvins last night at The Gov and to be honest I was a bit underwhelmed. I missed Redd Kross so can't comment on them but maybe a good half of the Melvins set were songs I weren't familiar with and a few seemed to be padded out into extended jams and doodling which didn't help but to be fair they have like 24 or 25 studio albums. I'm also not as keen on their 'new' bass player Steven McDonald (also from Redd Kross) who carries on a fair bit with his stage antics which detracts a bit from the rest of the band. Queen went off though :)

I just regret not seeing them on their last tour four years ago when Big Business were still in the band I would've loved to see the double drummer lineup live.
