Would like to know where you all by your vynils from

This is a record fair that is coming up

Semaphore Record Fair + Music Sale
Sunday 22/4/2012
11am to 5pm
Masonic Hall, 66 Semaphore Road, Semaphore [corner of Semaphore Road and Ward Street]
Presented by Mr V Music [69a Semaphore Road]

There anticipating there will be over 20 traders
Vynils, CDs, Music books, music mags, DVDs, Memorabilia, sheet music and more

Haven't bought vinyl in years. Used to get armfuls of it from record fairs, second hand record shops (RIP Big Star) and car boot sales.

I am a avid collector of vinyl records.

I will be going to the fair out at Semaphore.

The few spots I go too.

- Wait for a record fair (ie Vinylpalooza @ Christian bros College in city or the Arkaba Hotel sometimes have a small one on but I find that to be pretty pricey!!)
- Big Star @ Norwood have a small range
- On Goodwood Road there is Rock Therapy. Pretty good range and not badly priced 2nd hand records.
- Mr. V music on Semaphore Road
- There is a place in the Richmond Hotel Mall off Rundle Mall......seriously pricey!!! IMO
- Some people i know have gone to Salvos etc...but I have never had any luck :(
- Ebay I use a fair bit too.

If anyone has any other ideas where some are or recommend, let us know ;)

CROSS ROAD COLLECTABLES
One of the best collectable retailers in Adelaide
Excellent set up
I buy records and a host of other items from there
The proprietors give wonderful service

PETERS RETRO SHOP
Addison Road Penningtion [near Grand Junction Road]
Has a nice collection of records
Even sells retro record players
Records are reasonably cheap compared to most other shops
Very good customer service

HOTTIES BARGAINS
Brickworks Market, weekends
Well named, vynils and various collectibles at bargain prices
The vendor,Donald, is a fantastic personality
Quite possibly the most courteous stall holder around the traps

CLEMS COLLECTABLES
Pauls Drive, Valley View
sMALl Shop, amazingly he fits so much in there
Collectibles galore, and has a plethora of vynils in his shop
The owner, Clem, is a terrific bloke, and a favorite shopping place of mine

Clarity records on Pulteney Street has a fair range of both new and secondhand. Prices are reasonable - eg: The new reissues of first two Stooges albums are $30 each and I've seen them here in Melbourne $35-$40. Also there is quality control in terms of stock. ;)

About to head off to my first Canadian record fair - $10 entry! A bit steep to trawl through bins of Bryan Adams and Alanis Morrisette....
