I have heavily thrashed the albums from The Bronx, Spit Syndicate, Rudimental, ShockOne, so will probably vote for something off them.

Really love QOTSA's If I Had A Tail.

I've kept a spotify playlist this year to help me out.

Got a bit of everything on it from Haim to Touch Sensitive.

@FroffiesMcVeigh I think we've found some common ground here. I reckon I'll have half of those songs in my top 10. I probably wont think too much about it till we're able to vote though. But yea, a big fan of Riptide, Royals (and Tennis Court, not sure which one I'll go with yet), Do I Wanna Know (could be my no. 1), huge fan of Sticky Fingers in general and Australia Street could be my fave, Amazing by Spit Syndicate will most likely be in mine, Fall Underneath by Snakadaktal maybe, Fantasy by MS MR (pretty sure it's eligible), Jurassica by Phebe Starr, Waiting All Night by Rudimental is a possibility.

Pizza Guy by Touch Sensitive aint bad, Aluna George has a couple good tracks, When A Fire Starts To Burn by Disclosure.
And maybe something from Daft Punk like Lose Yourself to Dance

Going through the list of songs, I realise I've got to drop at least another hundred on buying albums from this year.

City And Colour – Of Space And Time
Childish Gambino – 3005
City And Colour – Thirst
Bloc Party – Ratchet
Disclosure – White Noise {Ft. Alunageorge}
Flux Pavilion – Do Or Die {Ft. Childish Gambino}
Lorde – Tennis Court
Karnivool – We Are
Rudimental – Free {Ft. Emeli Sande}
Rudimental – Waiting All Night {Ft. Ella Eyre}

almost never go for two songs from one album, but i listened to rudimental and city and colour so much that i thought it would be wrong if i didnt.

and i thought it was a bit of a hit and miss year. there were some brilliant albums, but mostly it was pretty average

that article is hilariously ironic - what are the other commercial stations doing? all they do is wait for something to become successful on JJJ and then months later it gets absolutely smashed on commercial radio.

it seems like sour grapes a little bit, that someone gets played ahead of someone else.

having said all of that, relying on one station to do all of the heavy lifting in terms of finding new acts isnt great, they need more stations imo

Damn straight.

There's got to be at least one decent rock/metal station if that ever happened. I haven't listened to the radio for 10 years.

Sportsbet have
Royals - Lorde @ $1.40 fave

followed by

Do I Wanna Know - Arctic Monkeys @ $3.50
Riptide - Vance Joy @ $3.75
Get Lucky - Daft Punk @ $4.50
The rest over 30's

I chucked $5 on Drop The Game - Flume/Chet Faker @$51
I don't see the big fuss but everyone seems to go nuts for that Flume and they play it everyday
