was happy until selection night.....not as happy now:
Gram out
M.Williams out
Hitchcock out
Harding out
Upshot is I have to bring the dud, sorry, Tippet back on the park and have no bench cover in the midfield or fowards. Praying for no late withdrawerals.

on a seperate point, it appears the trade I did with Mitchell out yesterday didn't stick, so didn't waste a trade as after a week of speculation he has been named(hoping he isn't the late withdraweral!)

After listening to Fox last night I am expecting both Mitchell and J. Brown to be late withdrawals. :(

my opponent this week has J. Brown, so if Mitchell goes, I hope Browny does too(purely selfish motive of course!!). But at least he has bench coverage if that does happen. :(

Dogmatic wrote:ROUND 5 FIXTURE

BloodnTars (10) vs Longwood Lions (3)
Both forward lines are spluttering however the Lions have an advantage in ruck and their captains come to play.

Ankles United (14) vs BenjisBeasts (6)
For ankles to win more of his batsmen who get starts need to go on and made hundreds.
Unlikely to happen on the green tops. Benjis comfortably

Nutkickers (2) vs Jim's TigerRoos
Nutkickers has matchwinners all over the ground and should prevail in a close game.

Leisa's Lovelies (8) vs Prestige Worldwide (13)
Fitness could be a worry for the lovelies after a tough game last week. Prestige is on the improve and the selection table could be the difference.

THE BLOODS (1) vs wonder elephants (5)
The Bloods has too much class and consistency for the Elephants.

The Glory Shed (15) vs HorsePlay (16)
Match of the round, these 2 evenly matched teams will be going head to head until the game is decided by a penalty shootout. Lift your games.

Killer Wombats! (7) vs The Goonies (11)
The Wombats are in good form and The Goonies are on the improve. Select your captain correctly and you will win the game.

Knuckle Sandwich (12) vs Stats Enough (4)
The Dog is hungry and he’ll have a sandwich and chew on the bones.

The selectors will have a massive impact this week and depth will be tested.
It could be time to trade.

Another great write up dogmatic. i reckon ill stick with my current theory with captain selection. GAJ! i figure that each week individual players may bob up and beat his score, but over the course of the season there wont be many that average higher than him. and knowing my luck the week i choose someone else, will be the week they have a shocker!!

Round 6 preview
BloodnTars (10) vs BenjisBeasts (12)
The Bloods will be looking to control the game defensible as the forward line is undermanned.
Benji has no obvious captain and I think this has hurt over recent weeks. Get it right and you will win.

Ankles United (5) vs Longwood Lions (8)
Ankles pulled of a surprise win last week however there will be no surprise this week with the Lions to roar.

Nutkickers (2) vs Prestige Worldwide (14)
Nutkickers will live up to its name and Worldwide will be left with no prestige.

Leisa's Lovelies (7) vs Jim's TigerRoos (9)
The Lovelies are stretched to fill a team so therefore Jim will do what Jim does best and mow down the Lovelies.

THE BLOODS (1) vs HorsePlay (16)
This will be a one horse race.
Sorry horsey it’s a football game, get back to Oakbank.

The Glory Shed (11) vs wonder elephants (6)
More holes in the Glory Shed team than Adelaide’ game plan.
Don’t be in denial like they are.
The elephants by the length of a drive way at Angle Vale.

Killer Wombats! (4) vs Stats Enough (3)
Match of the round.
The Wombats have a who’s who of SC. The match will be decided by the 2nd tier players as the top liners in each team are line ball.

Knuckle Sandwich (15) vs The Goonies (13)
The Goonies have too much class for a consistent but average Knuckle Sandwich.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Great preview as usual Dogmatic, but...

I know i dont have the greatest team running around the league, but being called worse than the crows is a bit rough, at least The Glory Shed has managed to actually win a game so far this year......

once again a great write up dogmatic. i like the sound of the match of the round! i am not confident that it will be that close though. i think there is definately a bit of a gap between the top three and myself. i am yet to score more than 2100. and i will definately need to if i want to be taken seriously in the league, let alone stay on the winners list. good luck for the weekend!

Even less confident now, no ablett means a guaranteed donut in the midfield :( i just have to hope everyone else scores above average for the week..... not likely!
