I think Johncock looms as a good unique pick this year.

is anyone considering the gamble of walker as a starter this year? i know he is one of REB's dreaded 300k players, but could he be worth the gamble as tippet will miss round one?

I'm on him. Kicked 5 last week and should be fitter this season. Breakout year for him!

Same. If he can stay fit, I reckon he will average 100.

Defence is a goldmine of rookies, but three players from your above teams should be getting games this year (no Swans rookies on my radar though):

Hibberd (ESS), Heppell (ESS), Batchelor (RIC)

Although I think Heppell is better suited to a position in the MID so you can utilise his MPP with say Goddard, Gibbs etc.

There are likely to be better options than Hibberd too.

Agree with the Heppell call!

Walker's too inconsistant I think.

thats my concern, every year we hear how it will be a breakout year, and inconsistency with getting games pretty well negates his usefulness for supercoach. i have him at the moment but with a big question mark over him, i will need to make my mind up soon

Kicked 16 in the pre season games. I've got a lot riding on him kicking straight.

Wouldn't have him in my SC team though. Just from the Crows I would put Porps, Knights, McKernan all above him for value for money.

Not sure with porps! He has had an average season and not dead eye dick anymore!

None are value! How many points will McKernan get in comparision to say a Matera from Gold Coast? McKernan might go ok for one or two weeks but he'd only make my squad because Mzungie had a pre-season blowout. Richardson, Darling, Matera yep...McKernan maybe if you want to switch him up with Grundy.

McKernan probably won't dramatically rise in price, but given that uncontested marks from a teammate and marks-on-lead will be worth more points this year, it will help those KPP rookies moo a little louder.

Gibson should be ok. Ryder will play up forward a bit this season, but Cox is a proven gun!

Gibson - should improve on last year but no keeper. With so many rookie backs maybe you should think about investing in either a genuine keeper or cash cow. Good POD player though I'd say. (Point of Difference)

Batchelor - Disposes of the ball well and one of the rookies I was speaking of above.

Petterd - No way. Can't stay on the park.

Cox everyday of the week but this might be the last year you can say that. Cox will go close to Sandi this year for mine and Ryder tends to have the odd quite game and has a larger differential (at least until last year when Cox was injured) than the Eagles ruck. You'll also not be able to use Ryder in the Grand Final if you get that far as Essendon has the bye.
