It’s been a very tough comp this year in the Premier League and Hips Don’t Lie has somehow scrambled clear of the pack despite being ranked only 8th on scoring. The Captain has been scoring very well but they were smacked by Q last week and as a result it’s Q in the four and the Captain out Eckys and Roosters look very good this year but your guess is as good as mine which teams from the scrum in the middle grab the last two spots in the eight. I’m backing the top six to stay in so it’s going to be a massive dog fight for the last two spots. A couple of teams I reckon are cooked include Twisties, FISH and Richo who haven’t been scoring consistently to win enough matches to overcome a poor percentage. In the relegation battle Mediocre at best has scrambled clear and is almost safe which means Poon and Wadey are fighting for survival with only one of them staying up next season. Wadey is scoring more points but Poon’s solid defence means he has the four point and percentage advantage. A crucial one point loss to Inner Santcum could be the loss that sends Wadey down. Benny has volunteered to go down as he has been absent this year but he has managed to jag a win last week. That could be very costly for Delicious in the run home.

Naming finals teams only 24 hours prior plays havoc with trades and lockout

Going to be a close one against the Captain. Win and I could be 6th. Lose and I could be 13th. Ouch. Projections are a twelve point win for the Captain. Averaging 108.3 per player in this one yet I'm four hundred points adrift! I don't like this director's cut!

Yep, decided to bring Draper in for ruck cover but had to trade him in early...nek minnit

Playing my son in my family league and it's 8 v 9 and I'm gone if I lose. He has Captain Neale and I went for glory with captain McRae who fell short of Neale's total. Not only am I going to get rolled in the family league, my Premier season is probably over as well. I'm one point ahead of Mediocre with Aarts and Buderick vs. Dusty Martin for them. If Dusty fires I'm cooked as my two guys are plodders.

Update

For the sake of my finals chances I'm hoping my tipping is much better than my squad and captaincy selections. By these tips I fall into the eight with a 7-6 record as Delicious falls by the wayside. If I can't get the chocolates the door opens for Richo maybe to steal a last spot against Poon who aren't safe from relegation just yet. Matches against Bens Rolfstankers aside, winning two straight games in this league has proven to be extremely difficult so the team that can do that over the next few weeks will take home the premier league title.

The last team I selected for premiership honours was Captain Who and he has promptly sunk like a rock since the Kiss of Death was applied. If I had to select a winner from here I'd have to go Hondo who has found the consistency that the other sides have lacked. Even though I've talked him up surely he puts an end to FISH's sorry season. Poony will be one worried coach, relying on the extremely unreliable REBCats to defeat Wadey's Warriiors who have shown plenty of heart to try and stay up. It is tempting to tank it just for the LOLS but seeing as I'm still a chance for finals action Poony can rest assured that the Cats won't be doing a Rolfs this week. If the Cats win they might make the finals and Wadey returns to divvy I. If the Cats lose then Poony will be sweating on percentage.

REBCats, Sharks and Richo all have much easier matches than the other teams who haven't booked their top eight spots and Sanctum's poor percentage could be a factor although Sharks and Richo also have a poor percentage. It could be very close thing between Sharks and Sanctum even though Spiro's recent form is shocking. Literally every kick counts in this round in Hogg Premier.

Absolutely shafted. Finished top on points scored and missed finals by 10 measly points with Grundy (captain) and Goldy spudding up in the last game of the minor round. Had Mitchell as VC but couldn't take it as all my bench was playing. 2020 can get fugged!!

Only 4 of the top 8 scorers got through, I finished 3rd but 14th in the total scoring. I'm guessing you didn't get to play Rolfsburgers?
