Hondo got 2500+ a few weeks back. You'll have to go back through all the match reports to be sure though LOL.

Well, Kornes and Rich have put a bit of a spanner in my works. Needed both of them to score at or above their averages and they did not, meaning I am left a couple of thousand dollars short of bringing in both GAJ and NDS this week. I could, however, bring in Montagna and NDS instead, which may be a better move seeing as the Saints are playing the Roos, while Catters play Bullies. The only risk there is that my opponent will definitely have Ablett as captain and I WILL lose if the GAJ pulls out a big one.

You reckon Pendlebury should go there?

Judd's been scoring not so great recently so I banished him to HF

As far as I can tell you can't see other team's trades until the lockout starts

I'd be more open however my opponent's father reads this forum ;)

Maybe it's overkill, just getting in the spirit of the finals!

EDIT: Cub off to a flyer - 571/4 (c) played  .... $hit!

Ahh, I didn't realise you couldn't see trades made for the week. The Geelong boys scored well, but nothing ridiculous, Ablett a solid 122. Mackie let me down, but nothing new there.

This week I made two trades, Montagna and Dal Santo IN, Kornes and Rich OUT. Resisted the temptation to bring in and make GAJ the captain and gave that role to Montagna instead. Could be crucial in deciding the winner of my final. Still have two trades left for the GF if I get through. Here is my team for this round:

B: Hurn, Newman, Hodge
HB: Gilbert, Gilbee, Mackie
C: Dal Santo, Selwood, Judd
HF: Rioli, Riewoldt, Didak
F: Pavlich, J Brown, Franklin
R: McIntosh, Montagna, Goodes
INT: Broughton, Bartel, Kruezer, T Cloke

EMG: S Hill, L Anthony, J Spencer

Damn my opponent made a trade of bringing Ablett in and putting him as captain. he got rid of rich! I had ablett as my captain and was stoked with the 122.
We both have had 5 players played and our captains have both played and im 15 up against squeakaroos.

I think we have around 7 players similar, so theres 10 players that can make an impact still, and he has Judd and Gibbs :? i think im a outta this comp in the Prelims

Shit night in the AFL, Shit night in the Cricket but not a bad night in the Hogg. Like Geelong, Parko couldn't cover Steve Johnson so he copped a donut. Chapman got hurt and ended up with 48 so Geelong in their wisdom will probably rest him until the first round of the NAB Cup next season.

I should get to the granny in Hogg Premier but with Chapman, Johnson and Brown all down in the forward line it probably means I'll get rolled in it just last season.

Oh the joy of it all this morning.

Hogg Premier League Finals

Preliminary Finals - Losers out, Winners to Grand Final

REBCats 2,189 d. Buddy And The Boys 1,907
Black Magic SCE 2,301 d. Poon Army 1,812

GRAND FINAL

REBCats vs. Black Magic SCE

The REBCats and the mighty Black Magic SCE will play off for this years Hogg Premier League title after both sides recorded strong victories in their Preliminary Finals. Buddy and the Boys had been enjoying an extended relationship with lady luck in recent finals but she left him at the altar this weekend when Parko ended up with a donut for Steve Johnson. Despite the efforts of Paul Chapman, this proved to be a crucial factor in the match. The Poon Army put in a shitter plain and simple at the same time that the Magic returned to his best form of the year. Rueben has been a strong coach for the last couple of years in Hogg Premier but appears to have learnt the lessons from last year and he should go on and take the premiership next weekend.

Hogg Division I Finals

Preliminary Finals - Losers out, Winners to Grand Final. Winners promoted to Hogg Premier.

Squeakeroos_DTF 2,371 d. CoverKing 2274
darcy DTF 2,328 d. Q Before You 2,065

GRAND FINAL

Squeakeroos_DTF vs. darcy DTF

It was a bad week of finals for the Q Man and CoverKing who both bowed out to AFL Online opponents in their Preliminary Finals. Congratulations to darcy and Squeaky who both will play in Hogg Premier League next season. CoverKing and Q Man will have to duke it out in Division I again next year and CoverKing can consider himself to be extremely unlucky after racking up a pretty impressive 2274 and going out. In the final I reckon that darcy DTF can complete the job and go on and win the Premiership. I played against this guy in the AFL Online Prelim and his team doesn't have too many weaknesses. However, when it comes to Grand Final time in Hogg Division I both sides have already proven themselves to be winners.

Hogg Division II Finals

Preliminary Finals - Losers out, winners to Grand Final

REBCats 2,189 d. cobra's 2,047
Hondo's Hard Nuts 2,282 d. FOOTY LEDGENS 2,193

GRAND FINAL

REBCats vs. Hondos Hard Nuts

The REB family won't be sending Hondo any Christmas Cards after his come from behind victory over The Cub. Hondo was the leading scorer in the Hogg at the beginning of the finals and is quite frankly too good for this division. Meanwhile, my brother in law Dale's first ever season in SuperCoach has ended in an honourable loss in the Prelim Final, thus saving me a phone call I'd rather not take LOL. In all the games I was in this weekend, this was the win I wanted. Hondo's side looks pretty solid and his inclusion of Leigh Montagna does not fill me with joy. Hondo should go on with it and win the Division II title and he'll do a bit of damage in Hogg Division I as well just quietly.
