Cox and groins

Postby Hondo » Thu Jun 25, 2009 10:09 pm

That's some combination. Out for "at least" 1 week, per Woosha.

No cover and no intention to trade for cover so for me this week it's 1 big fat

Image

Anyone with no cover going to do a trade? It's a waste IMO but there are guys in the top 200 I know are considering trading a one of their rookie rucks to Naitanui as cover. Seems like a panic trade to me.

I was thinking of doing just that, trading out a rookie, trading in NicNat, then maybe using him as cash cow for a double trade later in the year. But I can probably take the donut, I've studied Dutchy's side and he has four donuts if he doesn't do any trades. Besides I'm carrying 3 LTIs I have to deal with first :?

Oh great was going to be able to have two weeks in a row without making a trade.

Not sure what to do, but i think i will hold on him.

Already got Naitanui in my team, so I'll be running with him this week I think.

Ive conceded this week Q, Bolton, Motflop and Jack's injuries have killed my flexability - along with Malceski and Wojinski not getting a game

Just using the week to burn 2 trades to get some $$$ in the bank and get a decent team on the park next week!

I might go unchanged anyway, could have three donuts with Cox and Z-man, plus doubts over Gilbee. Will mull over trades right up until the deadline methinks.

Yes I am torn today as well on trades

With Pendlebury & Harvey due for big price drops I am tempted to just sit on my hands for now and wait for them however I have the cash to go either:

Ziebell - S Johnson; or
Hartlett - Mitchell

Hartlett will be out for 4 weeks and Ziebell for 8 or so.

To get both Pendlebury and Harvey I'd need to do another downgrade (prob Ziebell) however I need to see how Ballantyne goes first. So waiting is the safest course however Mitchell is relatively cheap (for his average) at $517K. Aaarrgghhhh!

I traded out Ziebell for S.Johnson.
I was lucky to have Angus Graham to cover Big Cox on the bench.

I'm still wondering whether to bring in Hodge, asking myself whether he has bottomed out in price and there's every conceivable chance he could smash WCE this week ~x(

Got Jesse White to cover the loss of Cox. My missus was devastated when she saw Cox was taken out. She wants Cox back in.

A dark horse I've heard mentioned is Daniel Pratt. I think he's $385K but been injured so his price is right down. Started off the year at $500K+ and has a great SC scoring history

I considered swapping him in for Mackie but that's a luxury so far out from finals for me.

This weekend just won't be the same without Cox. I've had Cox the last 12 weekends and not been disappointed.

Hmmm, I'll watchlist him. Mackie is giving me the runs, could be a handy sideways trade.

The withdrawal of Cox leaves me feeling pretty empty.

Quite a few of us will be carrying sore Cox after this weekend. Could be out of action for a significant period, certainly some tough decisions to be made.
