He's played less than half a season and is priced three times higher than a Rookie. Averaged only 60 last year so not sold on him.

Period from 2005 to 2008, Josh Hunt was averaging mid 60s in DT and mid to low 80s in SC

He'll be spending a lot of time in the midfield this year. Been burning up the track too. He'll be handy.

I dunno bout burning up the track, I heard it was a new recruit Ryan Bastinac, Nathan Grima (who I will be getting again) and Levi Greenwood doing the damage

Ziebell is suddenly looking a bit better. Patrick Dangerfield will be out of action for a few weeks with a medial strain at training. Interupted pre-seasons do not a good fantasy footballer make!

I am with REB re Ziebell. Almost still a rookie but costing 3 x as much as a rookie

I reckon you are better to research the $94K guys and see what you can find and then spend the $200K elsewhere.

On Buddy, the round 1 miss is an issue but not a deal-breaker if you want him. I am not sure I want him however.

He most certainly will be.

Buddy's a hard one to gague. I had him last season and was well for the money, sort of only ok with it.

I'm actually getting back on board the Buddy train at this early stage

I had him last year too and he was terrible mid season but came home strongly. I think he's the stand out forward at the price range.

The thing about Buddy is, if your going to get him, keep him for the season and just hope his good games out weigh his bad games.

I've had a bit of a rethink re Ziebell. Looking at the latest versions of fanplanner, the forward line flexibility is non existent. If Ziebell does spend time in midfield for the Roos and is as fit as all reports say then he could be a good earner. There doesn't appear to be as many options now. Cunnington, Trengove, Bastinac and Lucas are now listed as midfield options only. If the fanplanner is as accurate as it normally is, then Ziebell becomes a lot more attractive. I also had an eye on frontbum but I reckon Ziebell will get more games so I'm now in Bum Cracks' corner*.

Yes, those latest positional changes do thin out the forward line options and make Ziebell more attractive.

I wonder if even Ziebell will be available as a forward when SC opens up?

If the options at that price level continue to thin out then the possibility of selecting guys like Chapman, Goodes and the Voldt look very slim indeed. I've got my eye on including one of those three but if all the good forwards cost 400k then my man is gone.
