Hogg Division IV 2017

Postby Rik E Boy » Mon Jan 02, 2017 4:07 pm

This is the seeded list for all of the coaches who will be invited to participate in Hogg Division IV this year. Lower divisions will be up later, they are always a nightmare to organise.

League amended.

Final Field - Hogg Division IV 2017

1 Shane's Superboots 49680
2 Power Rules 48866
3 cobras 48728
4 FNQ Trotters 48713
5 Porter Guns 48614
6 White Line Fever 48489
7 Chokin Tuna 48300
8 King Cobwebs 47586
9 OneWinWonders 47365
10 St Brays Saints 47043
11 RustyCage 46832
12 Northern Cats 46698
13 Herbs'N'Spices 46512
14 Go Tiges 46421
15 PowerFailure 46418
16 DA HEAT 46389
17 Frostilicous 46368
18 Robsquad 45614

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your patience but this league has been filled. Stewie's Go Tiges took the last place giving this league a weekly score (based on last year's scoring) of 2158 a week. So any team that can post 2200 regularly should be looking at Division III next season.

League Points - Week 2

1 OneWinWonders 4362
2 Shanes Superboots 4355
3 Northern Cats 4331
4 Cobras 4305
5 Porter Guns 4297
6 White Line Fever 4289
7 Herbs'N'Spices 4289
8 FNQ Trotters 4254
9 Power Rules 4214
10 DA HEAT 4180
11 Robsquad 4145
12 St Brays Saints 4075
13 Chokin Tuna 4043
14 Go Tiges 4040
15 King Cobwebs 3975
16 Frostilicous 3931
17 Rusty Cage 3856
18 PowerFailure 3805

This is the weakest field for Hogg Division IV for many years so this is very much a premiership up for grabs here. I'm liking Shanes Superboots for final honours with Porter Guns to be the major threat. Early doors it's onewinwonders who head the field with a solid effort by the Northern Cats. FNQ Trotters also a smoky.

18 PowerFailure 0 1 1851 2226 83.15 0

Onewinwonders have laid down a marker for Division IV by topping the scoring again in their big win over a suspect PowerFailure who lived up to their name in the first round of Divvy IV action. Frosty had the Tuna on ice as they came within icicle of topping the scoring for the round as like the wonders, they too bagged a 2200 score. There was something of an upset with DA HEAT scoring a win over the highly rated Porter Guns who failed to fire. There's something wrong with this league and I think I know what it is...too many Porties! That's it, I'm outta here!

18 PowerFailure 0 2 3684 4274 86.20 0

Onewinwonders have topped the scoring again and look to be the team to beat in the early rounds of the Hogg Division IV this season. The winders are right on top after disposing of Porter Guns who can consider themselves unlucky not to have recorded a win in the opening two rounds of the season considering their scoring. The guns will fire soon and they will need to as well seeing as they currently have a Burger Ring in the W column. Four other teams are unbeaten with Shanes Superboots looking the most likely challenger to the winders' dominance this season.

A team that has been in the Hogg for a few years now but hasn't made their mark so far is the Robsquad. This season they have put their hand up and as they deservedly broke through for their first win of the season with a comfortable win over Herbs'n'Spices. White Line Fever and RustyCage recorded their first win of the season and congratulations to Gilligan who scored his first ever Hogg Shield win as Power Rules saluted in fine style over Go Tiges.

17 PowerFailure 1 2 5798 6371 91.01 4
18 Porter Guns 0 3 6263 6600 94.89 0

OneWinWonders saw off the challenge of fellow unbeaten side DA HEAT this week but it was Shane's Superboots who fired off the big warning with a massive 2314 that was more than enough to see off the luckless Porter Guns who have somehow coughed up 2200 a week in this division. FNQ Trotters continued with their winning trot while the Robsquad boogied into the top four as a result of DA HEAT's loss.

The Northern Cats used up the first of their nine lives when they got rolled by Divvy V combo Go Tiges so it seems Tigers everywhere are smiling these days. Chokin Tuna, PowerFailure and St Brays Saints also opened their accounts for the season with the PowerFailure being switched on at last after trailing the league for the whole season to date.

The top two sides already look a long way ahead of the rest in this league so it could be a case of plenty of teams trying to get those last two promotion spots. I reckon the Superboots will be very tough to beat in this division.
