Round 11 - Bye Bye Blackbird

Postby Rik E Boy » Mon May 29, 2017 12:30 pm

Well, I'm hoping it's bye bye blackbird anyway. Our favourite time of year...bye season. But the carnage has been that huge already this season it's pretty much more of the same. I reckon Sandi owners might be a bit nervous with Freo having their bye next week. Does RTB suck it up for another week and give big Lurch a three week rest or does he recall his ruckman to combat Brodie Grundy and provide relief for SuperCoaches.

Meanwhile St Nick owners wouldn't have been too happy (well I wasn't) when Leigh Montagna was most evasive when quizzed about Nick's return to the side to play the Crows in two weeks. The last thing we need at this time of year are premos not getting a gig when you have quite a few out with byes. This week looks to be the worst of the bye weeks so quite a few coaches may elect to not hit the 'T' button and see how they go over Rounds 12 and 13.

One thing is for sure though..this little black duck won't be burning nine trades like I did last year. Disaster!

Three trades planned this week and should see all byes covered off. One cash generation trade each week for the rest of the byes. Then load up in Round 14. Just so long as there are no unexpected injuries or demotions.

I am totally screwed for bye rd 1, but my team is what I want for the rest of the year so just gonna have to cop it. Just when I got my team to 265 ranking too, could be a blow out. Wonder who gets the % boost against me in Hogg Prem?

Pretty happy with my numbers over the byes considering my minimal planning. Too bad they're all spuds and wont score well.

Do you guys think 10 trades after the byes with a full premo side plus Scott selwood as M9, Myers as M10 will be enough to get through?Leeds

Stupid ******* me.

I forgot to put the C back on Dangerfield, after loopholing him last week. Therefore James Cousins was this week's skipper in my side.

I forgot to use the loophole on PD this weekend, but thankfully Dusty pulled one out

Absolutely spewing with Sandy being late withdrawal. I played with 17, the 100 points i missed out on would have put me up to about 70th overall, instead i dropped down to 125.
Absolutely no chance Sandy flies to Brisbane this week, its time to go. Thinking Kruezer could be the best option keeping in mind it has to be someone who plays round 13. Its sort of a p[lanned upgrade anyway as I cant see Sandy playing every game after the bye, he will be rested once maybe twice before the end of the season

That would be a gutsy move. Kruezer hasn't played out a full season in years. Going beautifully at the minute though it must be said.
