Round 22 - Preliminaries my dear Watson

Postby Rik E Boy » Wed Aug 16, 2017 7:17 am

The usual late season carnage seeing as we are at the stage of the season where a hammy is a season ending injury. Greene and the slightly less relevant Wines dodged the MRP bullet but Grundy is out another week. Not sure what is up with JJ and hopefully WitherTON is not warehoused and that the Dockers players decide to get a kick this week.

Ablett ruled out again, won't see him play for the Suns again I'd think

Neale is out, Lyon already said that.

How much has Harley Bennel played in the WAFL? High risk POD?

Way too risky. Surely Ross would ease him into it

#hogg - I reckon you beat Jims TigerRoos. Give yourself an extra week to look at Harley I reckon. The Professor and Summer of George are in good shape so that will be a tough Grand Final.

Yeah, Hurley out has thrown a spanner in the works, hoping Witherden plays to save the trade there, would love to go into next week with a couple trades or at least one.

Wallis omitted. Why I selected that plodder I'll never know. He's on the never again list along with Adam Treloar and Dyson Heppell. My biggest regret this year was not jumping on Kelly at the start of the year. The signs were there that a breakout season was looming but I was frightened off by the point sharing tendencies of the Giants midfield after being burnt by Ward in the past. I'm only bringing in Dustin Martin now better late than never, I think Jelwood might be on the never again list as well. Younger mids next year looks the way to go.

That's twice you've written me off. Gave my boys a pep talk this morning, bought in a touch of class and they are pumped up for the prelim. Expect an improved showing. :D

Sorry mate but if you can only just beat Straycat Strut you're no show against the Duds. ;)
