Average score against of 2000+ has killed my percentage. All good at the top though with average scores against in the 1800's :?

The ladder might say King Kiddy after they racked up 60 points last week but I'm liking The Bye and The Willies as the genuine contenders for the Division V premiership this year. PowerFailure have made a bold late run and if they can scramble into the top eight then they might make some inroads. UglyDucklings have hit the wall and haven't gone up a gear to match the increase in scoring and there are plenty of doubts about second ranked go tiges and Red Devils as well.

Square off this week.

It's on ;) ;)

And amazingly...have the exact same projected score after seven games of the round

The Red Devils were the big loser of the last minor round fixture after they got thrashed by Cam Brothers and crashed out of the finals. Meanwhile the Hotshots carded the regulation win over struggling Raging Hooligans to take advantage over an unlucky PowerFailure who found some awesome scoring form towards the back end of the season. It was all a bit too late for the pirate though and they've missed the eight by a whisker.

King Kiddy have been upset in the last round by UglyDucklings with neither side showing their best form. Perhaps the kid was foxing or perhaps the kid should watch out for Lightning McQueen's The Bye who won a high quality clash against the Willies . RustyCage have made the eight in impressive style whereas go tiges looks like a soft option in the top four as they have fallen into the finals despite an impressive 12-5 win loss count.

Down the arse end venomous geckoes have proven to be the worst team in the Hogg in season 2018 after they lost to Loose Husseys who somehow only finished one game behind The Lekkas Tribute who were good but not quite good enough. Leisas Lovelies had their occasional good day and they finished strongly but weren't good enough often enough. The LoveCats finished four games clear of last in their first Hogg season while the Razorbacks managed to get off the bottom of the scoring table with four weeks to go until SuperCoach closes for another year.

Finals Week One

Qualifying Finals
Cam Bros 2571
King Kiddy 2252

The Bye 2347
go tiges 2180

Elimination Finals
UglyDucklings 2458
Hotshots 2452

The Willies 2421
RustyCage 2379

Cam Brothers won the battle of the youngsters in their Preliminary Final as they smashed the Minor Premier King Kiddy who have now slumped to their second straight defeat. It’s not a great time of the year to lose form but a brilliant result for Cam who has earned promotion to Division IV next season and week off as well. The other side who will be promoted is Lightning McQueen’s ‘The Bye’ who have been in powerful form in recent weeks. While they didn’t match the scoring power of Cam they did more than enough to smoke go tiges who are really battling at the moment.

In the knockout finals it was a thrilling six point victory for UglyDucklings over an unlucky Hotshots who scored their best score of the season. Nothing worse than getting your best score and then losing but that’s what the Hotshots have done. The Ducks live to Quack another day and need more win to go up to Divvy IV next season. The Willies were supposed to be an easy kill and on 2017 that would have been the case but the Willies have proven to be much stiffer competition this season in Division IV and V. The Willies shut the RustyCage out of promotion discussions with a comfortable win to end their season.

Hogg Division V Semi Finals

UglyDucklings 2234
King Kiddy 2020

The Willies 2271
go tiges 2004

Minor premiers King Kiddy have crashed out of the Division V finals in straight sets after they were upset by fellow Hogg debutants UglyDucklings in the Semi Final last weekend. After dominating the season during the minor round the kid lost form at the wrong time of the year and the Mighty Ducks pounced to advance to the Preliminary Final next weekend. Even though King Kiddy have lost they have still earned a promotion to Hogg Division IV because The Willies are already playing in Division IV and are thus ineligible for promotion.

In the other semi another top four team who lost form at the wrong time of the year also crashed out in straight sets. The Willies are one of the teams on track for a double premiership season one year after stinking up the place so badly he was invited to join the lowest Hogg Division. The Willies have scored well in recent weeks and might prove hard to stop in this division. Meanwhile go tiges’ demotion to Division V has been assured after Stewie finished in the bottom four of Division IV and failed to ‘replace himself’ as the tiges failed in the Divvy V finals.

Promoted teams to Division IV are The Bye, Cam Bros, UglyDucklings and King Kiddy.

Preliminary Finals

1st Preliminary Final
The Willies 2488
Cam Bros 2309

2nd Preliminary Final
The Bye 2400
UglyDucklings 2246

No surprises here it's Broderick vs. Lightning in the Divvy V Grand Final as the Prelims went according to script. Both of the Preliminary Finals were pretty one sided but it was a good season by the defeated sides even though they missed the decider. The big advantage of The Willies and The Bye is experience with Cam Bros and UglyDucklings playing in their first season in the Hogg. Not sure about the kid Cam Bros but UglyDucklings had never played SuperCoach before and her first six rounds were horrible. The Mighty Ducks soon got the idea though and went on a brilliant winning streak that got them as far as the Prelim. As for Cam Bros he didn't win the flag but he did get promoted and he comfortably beat his Dad which means bragging rights all summer. Well played son.

After having a year off of SC I learnt a bit and played it differently to DT, was 0-3(17th) earlier on then 5-6.

I think Brod has a better team than me though, I'll need to trade wisely this week.

Cheers REB, yep, Cam's first season of Supercoach (He's 8). Felt for the lad a bit as he had to burn his last 2 trades to try to cover Cotchin, Kelly and Hogan and had bench cover of Ahern and one of the Gold Coast Will's also get dropped/miss, so he played with a globe on field.

He's already talking 2019 and as you mentioned- giving me verbal grief regularly.

As long as you give me one.

I've made one unforced change, just a bit stumped on who gets the (C), do I stick with with Tommy, go with my new recruit Paddy or go to Maxy like I have so often this season?

Good luck mate.

Cheers mate, it was neck and neck form the last half an hour, you just wouldn't go away.

I should've put the C on Paddy as I was going to with the Cats playing Gold Coast at home, stuck with the faithful against his old side.

Grand Final

The Bye 2462
The Willies 2453

Lightning McQueen is the Division V champion after winning a high quality final against their great rival The Willies. The Willies came from nowhere a bit in this division but along with The Bye they were the two form sides of the competition when it mattered most. The Bye are premiers but the rivalry between these two sides will have to wait until 2020 at least as The Willies made the top four in the Division IV finals so they will be in Division III next year. Congratulations The Bye, 2018 Hogg Division V Premiers!

Depends on numbers Pirate. There will be a Hogg for all. You will be Divvy IV or V. Get your team sorted and I'll sort your Hogg out once I've got a better idea of numbers. Last time I checked we had 60 signed up so a few more to go yet. Just keep a slot free for your aHogg league and watch this space, :D
