Gold Coast's Will Brodie named as an emergency and with the lockout looming I opted for Patty Dow on the field. 35 points! :? Went with Danger and my vc/c options are Tictchell and Fyfe with Captain Danger if Fyfe goes bang. I reckon Tictchell will smash the Pies so I'm not too down on myself for missing the Dusty VC. Just couldn't put it on quick enough after my last minute trade. Very happy with my D3 Marchbank who tonned up.

To use the loop hole with Dusty as my vice captain or take a risk on Mitchell for the Hawks

To make it work do I

Have Constable (Geelong but not playing) on the field as Captain
Have Dusty who is my vice captain
Have my bench player Jeff Gartlett as emergency

Yep you got it, if you can I would loop it earlier because the Geelong game is one of the last for the round, if Constable is a late in your gonna have to change the Capt to any if any decent players yet to play

Big decision to be made then

If I do it I think I'll bring Harrison Wigg in for Constable and make sure I don't end up with a rookie being a late inclusion

You should be right but Constable has been named as an EMG. Name Danger Captain if you got him

Yep- pretty happy with my start also.

642/5 with Martin VC loophole in play.

Is anybody else absolutely killing Round 1? Reckon I'll hit 2400 if Heeney stays on track.

I'm pretty happy though I can get Dangerfield in next with 1 trade.

Happy with my picks of Gawn and Martin in the rucks (dodged Ryder)

Rookies Holman, Murray, Dodee look good picks

My 5th and 6th midfield combination of Cripps and Whitfield is going to be handy

2203 in the end for me.

Let down by a couple, namely Bont and Fyfe (c)

Happy with some big scores from Buddy, Parker, Gawn, Laird and Coniglio for a POD

Solid from Gibbs, Heater, Stef Martin and Heeney

Serviceable scores from JOM, Petracca, Mills, Dahlhous and Toohey

Left TKelly and Holman on the bench and lost 119 there and apart from Naughton all my rookies went between ok and great

Yep Zorko was a masterstroke selection by me... plus had all the wrong rookies on the field.

At least I don't have to trade to bring in danger this week

Managed 2409 which is easily the highest opening round score Ive landed, so fair to say quite a bit went right.

Shuffled the magnets at the last minute to replace Liberatore (poor bastard) with Coniglio, and included Devon Smith among others.

Unfortunately it also meant I removed Kelly. Possible improvements would have been to select Holman onfield rather than Brayshaw and Finlayson instead of Naughton, but getting more right than wrong I can't complain too much.
