Round 6 - Can I borrow a Premo?

Postby Rik E Boy » Thu Apr 26, 2018 4:57 pm

Premos off the boil a bit last week with many supercoach teams scoring bugger all. Zorko owners would be hitting the rage trade button as I type and there aren't too many fans of the Pigman who refuses to score any points this season. If you are borrowing a feeling it's probably frustration as your underperforming premos have caused you to drop a match to a team you haven't lost to in a decade such as happened in my family league last week. Thank you Toby Greene!

Rant away boys!

Every season I always start shit and have to play catch up, so having a good start to the year I find my team in an unusual position. Can anyone tell me whats a decent amount of trades to have left after this round?

Got $594 to spend on a FWD - trying to decide between Taranto, Parfitt or take a punt of Deledio? Any thoughts?

Deledio the proven scorer who is thriving in Scully and Kelly's absence. When they come back does he go back into the half back flank? Then there's the injury risk. Lids has the highest ceiling. Parfitt is unknown, on the up and will never get tagged, plus he is DPP. Taranto on the up also, very consistent.

Deledio for immediate point scoring boost
Taranto for sustainability
Parfiit for flexibility with possibly a higher ceiling than Taranto.

Now that that is cleared up...what do I do with my Demon duds? ;)

Clear as mud.

so I hit the trade button for the first time this week... still have 28 up my sleeve

Ryan and Garlett out

Higgins and Guelfi IN

with Petracca and Franklin out my FWDs are skinny and I need Fritsch to come back in to have a full compliment

Rookies are still bubbling with none looking like missing their BE's so no need to trade just yet, even then Kelly, Finlayson and Doedee are performing very well on the edge of keeper status and Banfield, Murray, Stephensen and Holman are still tracking well enough...

Naughton, English and Fritsch in the gun and as much as I said I wouldn't be sideways trading, if Mills and Petracca don't lift their game they might find themselves goneski too!

good that Barry comes back in just for some extra milking, need DFogarty back now too
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

I have 26 trades and $125k left.

1 trade this week, effectively Brayshaw to Guelfi with some positional changes to allow this.

Not sold on Mirra, and Higgins security worries me, plus most of my other rookies are still increasing nicely apart from Brayshaw who may miss his BE.

Will hold Greene and Sicily at this stage.

You can take your pick there with that price mate. Heeney, Gray or Acres would be my answer if you don't have them already

What, you didnt se the Jacobs tag coming given Gray is Ports only A Grader??Gray always been very inconsisent, for that reason i opted to improve my defence instead, bought in the more inconsistent Yeo. First time i have ever succumbed to him and no doubt tomorrow will confirm why i have never touched him.
Deledio becomes an interesting option going forward. Hopefully he gets injured just before i bring him in

Ollie worth a tag I thought too. He fought back in the end did Gray and a tagged Gray is still an improvement on an injured Greene who looks like he will miss a few with a hotspot. Moved Holman on too for Higgins so my trades look better now than when I made that post.

I really like him, i think he'll be in for the rest of the year now, has been selected in front of premiership players for the 1st time. Its his spot to lose now, something about him, reckon he will start to get some midfield minutes too.

Holman pretty much made his BE, may have to move him on now though, bit disappointing.

Has Ollie ever been tagged? 95% of the time it would be Gray, far more damaging player than Wines.
Great move with Holman
