Treloar a mystery... did he have cramp or did he tear the string off the bone?

Cameron may aswell kiss goodbye SC and Fantasy finals...

I have somehow managed to avoid a lot of the carnage this season but still selected so many underperforming premos like Hibberd, Zorko, Dusty, Parker and Billings

I've persevered with Dusty, I think he'll come home strongly, having said that, he is averaging over the ton.

I had VC Danger and chose not to C Mitchell.

Looks like Pendlebury is the main beneficiary of Treloar OUT at this stage

Yeah, I banked on it being Phillips, but he didn't make any effort to shake a tag tonight

Had a slight lead coming into today so thought about skipper matching my opponent. Decided that was a soft way so left the C on Fyfe instead of switching to Maxy, although Tom McDonald probably sucked enough it might not have mattered. Had everything go right last Sunday to sneak home, opposite this week.

I don't think I have ever been this unlucky all in one day... but I somehow managed to get the win!!

I had the VC on Tom Mitchell and after he went for 181 I was rubbing my hands together with a score of 1693 including his scored doubled on Saturday night with 8 players to come, so 2400+ looks like a real possibility now. I bring Ahern on to my field and put the C on him and put Fyfe on the pine with the E.

All I needed was no late withdrawal from NM as Ahern was one of the emergencies named and if there was no late changes then Mitchell becomes 362 instead of 181. So 30 minutes before the game starts and of course NM have a late out in Jacobs... then they have 4 emergencies to choose from and of course Ahern gets the call up... ok not so bad because I have time to change it up so I bring Fyfe back on the field and put Ahern back on the pine and have no way of looping Toms 181 now.

It gets better... So now I have to make a captain choice and because the Melbourne game has already started I have missed the boat on Gawn (who I would have normally gone with). I toss up between Fyfe and Martin and end out opting for Fyfe because he has been consistent, he is versing the Lions and well.. Martin is against the giant in Sandilands. Sandilands ends out being a late withdrawal (I actually missed this but probably would have stuck with Fyfe versing the Lions anyway), and then Fyfe goes and does his hammy in the 2nd quarter... Fyfe finishes on 43 and Martin 142.

In the end I get an additional 43 from my captain instead of the original 181.. just a lazy 140 points difference. Instead of 2433 I scored 2295. How can so much go wrong in 1 day with 2 games left to go!!

I was using Ahern to loophole Gawn and Higgins. Like you got the win but my score was smashed.

Cam Bros had the same scenario as above- I used Ahern to loophole Mitchell late Saturday night for him (as he doesnt understand the loophole still).

Find out Ahern is in halfway through the second quarter, how am I gonna explain this to him?

I tell him 'sorry mate, I put Ahern as your captain so you would get Mitchell as captain score, but now he is playing' expecting a disappointed response.

"Dont worry dad, I changed C back to Gawn this morning on your phone when you were sleeping in".

Cheeky bastard!

Josh Battle out for 3 weeks now, only got him in last week FFS. Time to shut up shop on 2018 I think for me
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Think Heeney is an unlikely starter as well.

Possibly/probably silly question .. In a league, finishing top 4 end of minor round do any of those sides earn an advantage over the other, or is the double chance the only benefit for all?

Only double chance... I have always said there should be an advantage of some sort to those sides finishing 1 & 2 over 3 & 4 and in the bottom 4 of the top 8 to those finishing 5 & 6 over 7 & 8. My suggestion was a little head start as a home ground advantage, 25 or 50 points etc.

Then the same for the following week for the semi's and prelims and the GF is a neutral ground, unless you are Richmond of course

This gives you more incentive to finish higher up the ladder...
