This is the final seeded list for Hogg Division IV which is severely understrength this year due to the amount of sides that have been promoted from the original lineup. This is very much a flag for the taking here with Chokin Tuna who missed out on a promotion because Casey wasn't quick enough to grab being the stand out premiership fancy. Plenty of sides who haven't had much success, or much success lately could be in for a successful season in this league. There are a couple of father-son battles as well and my lad is in here too (DaHeat).

1 Chokin Tuna 48806 Casey
2 Frosteye 48313 Frosty
3 Wingards Crewe 47960 MatteeG
4 Some Cant 47580 Lucky for Some
5 DaHeat 47579 Liam
6 King Cobwebs 47509 TTJ
7 HereComesTheSuns 47479 Chris
8 Cam Brothers 47423 MatteeG Jnr
9 Brodlach Bombers 47347 Brodlach
10 Ingle Farm Felons 47068 the milky bar kid
11 SA Rapids 46944 Broadlach Jnr
12 Go Tiges 46715 Stewie
13 Robsquad 46481 rd
14 UglyDucklings 46109 Steph
15 Modraaaaaa! 45979 Shaun
16 PowerFailure 45634 Patawalonga Pirate
17 Red Devils 45442 carey
18 King Kiddy 44537 Nicholas

Week 2

1 Frosteye 4478
2 Some Cant 4437
3 Ingle Farm Felons 4386
4 HereComesTheSuns 4343
5 Chokin Tuna 4282
6 UglyDucklings 4236
7 Robsquad 4232
8 DaHeat 4174
9 King Kiddy 4152
10 Go Tiges 4098
11 SA Rapids 4066
12 Wingards Crewe 4051
13 Cam Brothers 4042
14 Red Devils 4000
15 PowerFailure 3982
16 Modraaaaaa! 3970
17 Brodlach Bombers 3907
18 King Cobwebs 3900

After a surprisingly good start by this league in the first round, there was a bit of slippage in Divvy IV as it dropped over 2000 spots in the rankings. Two teams that can't be blamed for this is Frosteye and Some Cant who staked their claim for early premiership favouritism. Frosty in particular has been very solid over both weeks and they continue that kind of scoring they'll be hard to beat in this league.

Yes sir, the kids are all right in Division IV as the season started with a couple of boilovers. Top scoring Frosteye and Some Cant both got rolled as the Red Devils and Brodlach Bombers took advantage of a subpar week by the preseason heavy scorers. Meanwhile SA Rapids and King Kiddy went huge to sit in the top two slots on the ladder. While Frosteye can consider himself an unlucky loser at this level with 2212 Go Tigers will be laughing all the way to the top eight after getting the chocolates against the Crew with an underwhelming 1993. This game is so cruel sometimes. :D

18 Robsquad 0 2 3762 4440 84.73 0

Don't look now but here comes HereComesTheSuns who have started the season even better than the Gold Coast variety. The Suns went straight to the top of the table after they pounded the Robsquad back to the stoneage in their second round clash. King Kiddy is the highest ranked junior team in the Hogg after they defeated fellow young player DaHeat in their match while Brodlach Bombers saluted and the Cobwebs squeezed past PowerFailure to secure an eight point win.

Congratulations to Cravo as his Modra*7 combination won their first ever Hogg match. Second year player Steph's UglyDucklings has emerged as a beautiful swan, recording a handy score and jumping into the top eight. Wingard's Crewe somehow have scored a massive score in a result which has ASADA looking very closely at the Crewe's supplements program.

A coupe of youngsters and an NRL fan are the teams to watch after four rounds of Division IV action this season. Just like Divvy V the kids are all right with King Kiddy once again doing a fine job of winning minor round matches. SA Rapids has rebounded strongly from last season's disappointment and we are looking at two of the better junior players in the Hogg duking it out for Divvy IV honours. Modraaaaaaa!! is once again flying high bring back the halcyon year of 1993 as Cravo cracked it for an awesome 2223 which left Brodlach scrambling. UglyDucklngs, Some Can't and the Robsquad are all moving in the right direction with a great recovery from the squad to move out of the relegation zone.

Choking Tuna had a match to forget as they lost their first game while DaHeat and Theregothesuns have struggled for consistency this season. At the arse end one kid who is being taken to school this year is Cam Bros but they were quite unlucky not to open their account with a win against the top side. PowerFailure are certainly living up to their name as well and Go Tigers are always on the nose in Divvy IV and guns in Divvy V and this year is no exception.

If anyone had suggested three weeks ago that Modra would be the premiership favourites and that Robsquad would be ahead of HereComesTheSuns you would probably have thought they had spent a bit of time with the Essendon Bombers and injesting unknown substances. But that is what has occurred in the last few rounds. Mods is flying high and even though King Kiddy is still unbeaten and still top, the kid just isn't scoring but is somehow managing to fall over the line in recent weeks.

A couple of teams are certainly not flying. TheSuns we have mentioned as Chris has now racked up three straight losses to slip out of the eight. Another early front runner and a side expected to dominate at this level, Choking Tuna is at present really floundering and gasping for air on the deck. Casey must be wondering where his next decent score is coming from and he's bagged a couple of losses in a row now after a three win opening streak. Frosteye was another side that looked good early but whose form has decidedly cooled.

On the way up is top seed Some Cant who lead the scoring and are now back in the eight and probably to stay as well. Brodlach had a good win and is currently in the eight because he doesn't have Patrick Dangerfield. OK for now but not sure if that will be successful long term that move. But then again, Brod can pick him up cheap now so it might be a beauty!

Just like the glory days of 1993, Modraaaaaaaa has soared above the pack to take outright leadership of the competition with a 6-1 record. Despite Modra's high flying exploits, his big win against an ice cold HEAT was shadowed by a sensational boilover. PowerFailure had been living up to their name with six straight losses but knocked off the top scoring side in the league Some Can't with a thrilling 39 point upset victory. The Cants had been storming up the ladder in recent weeks but had their progress halted by a side that has been mired in the relgation zone all season.

Another significant development was the resurrection of HereComesTheSuns who were looking a bit wobbly a few weeks ago. A couple of wins later and Chris has hauled himself back into the top eight. Meanwhile, Robsquad was derailed by the Red Devils who made life hell for rd. The kids are all of a sudden looking a bit wobbly but SA Rapids did make a stand with an important win over the Felons. Brodlach defeated his lad but not before Cam recorded a competitive score.

Hogg newbie Modra continued with his dominance of Division IV with a vicious spanking of sister in law UglyDucklings in the 8th round. Meanwhile, ASADA has been called out to do some testing on the line-ups of Go Tigers and PowerFailure who all recorded suspiciously large scores on the weekend. They are on the Kool Aid surely.

This week saw some big wins as some teams were clearly effected by the carnage and others less so. King Kiddy won the battle of the kids while Cam Bros opened their account with a narrow win over Frosteye. One of the big winners of the round was the felons who went from 14th to 8th after upsetting HereComeTheSuns. Down the arse end DaHeat have certainly gone cold and look set for relegation as points continue to elude them as the bakery was well and truly opened.

Choking Tuna bounded back into form in a big way after smashing Go Tigers and the league high score of the round. Casey's return to form sees the Tuna swimming back upstream and back into the top eight. Another big winner this weekend was SA Rapids who also managed to score over 2300 as they put the Red Devils through hell. Top of the ladder Modra isn't doing much wrong this season and they are almost unbackable favourites for the Division IV flag. Divvy II fill in Wingard's Crewe is the next best challenger but it's Cravo's flag to lose from here. King Kiddy are quite consistent but for the majority of teams in this league consistency is a quality that continues to elude most of them.

Cam Bros and DaHeat can be excluded from this assessment though as both young men are very consistent for all the wrong reasons. Both coaches were pretty stiff to lose on the weekend with reasonable scores so it's the luck of the draw sometimes. Just ask that cool customer Frosteye who managed to snaffle the W with a relatively low score. Nice work if you can get it.
