The final field has been settled for the Premier League in 2022. The new sides are Div I and Div II Premiers of the past The Far Callers and daisy has finally cracked it in the top flight after years of trying to get here. The third side in this year is Chops Clots who has been promoted as Has Been was a no show and thus has forfeited their place in the league. Choppy is awesome at scoring points but somehow he doesn't win matches. More of that thanks Dave!

Congratulations to all promoted teams. This year the average yearly score of Premier coaches is 50396 with a weekly average of 2191 which would indicate that if you aren't scoring 2200, you aren't winning matches.

Apologies Reb. Life has got in the way. Haven't had time to scratch myself, didn't even realise we are so close to season starting. Think I'll give Supercoach a miss altogether this year. Thanks for all the fun over the years. Might try and sneak my way up from the bottom in future years

If you decide to go around again please join our Hogg group code 623573. That way I know your score and your comeback will be based on your score. Eddieslittleindians did that and he went right back into Divvy I. Only thing is, you won't be put immediately back into Premier (it would depend on how many points you score this year). Otherwise your seeding will be based on your 2021 season.

Look out but the Prez smells blood in 2022. @wycbloods is off to an absolute flyer and you have to watch out when Westies do this as when they are on they are on. 2474 is a mighty score with only the TigerRoos in Divvy I topping him. Overall it was a very good performance in Premier League. Not as many 2200 scores in this league but a low score of 2163 shows that we don't have any duds here with the number one seed @David Brent coming up with an alternative strategy to his previous unsuccessful high score loses matches strategy. This year Clots are going to score **** all and win the comp.

Watts and Motts are clearly not as useless as the plonkers they are named after even if @bd u15 09 is the most difficult user name to tag into the thread. So piss off Motts and spud up so I don't have to keep looking it up FFS. @Ron Burgundy reported in with a solid score. The Far Callers have finally called in on Premier League and Ronny has a rather annoying habit of winning flags so you can knock that shit right off mate. @CoverKing can't usually catch anything in the footy season so a welcome return to form from Richo Richo Man and after some less than brilliant results in premier, Summer of George has scored well and will be looking for a change of fortune in the top flight. What do you want @Shake'n'Bake? The world and everything in it Chico.

Hail to the chief as the President is in the house. @wycbloods were a mighty side last year that somehow managed to miss the finals even though they scored a heap of points. The bloods haven't lost that point scoring habit so now comes the hard part for them, the actual winning of the matches. Not so fast out of the blocks are Mediocre at Best and I for one wouldn't mind if they slowed up a bit after they totally owned me across multiple leagues last season. Only two sides in this league are averaging less than 2200 a week so it's going to be a fair dinkum comp this season. The match of the round in the opening week of matches is Premier League newcomer The Far Callers vs. Delicious, an old hand in the league and regular finalist. Show us what you've got @Ron Burgundy! Well, show @valleys07 anyway.

It was a mighty impressive debut by all three of the new boys to Hogg Premier with The Far Callers put on an almighty flex to dump the powerful Delicious at the foot of the table with a massive 226 point victory. Most of the Premier sides did well but few actually excelled so it was a rough start for @valleys07 as that poor percentage could hold him back this season. @Ron Burgundy managed to avoid most of the potholes this week and it was a great start to the season as the mighty Far Callers set sail for yet another flag.

DAISYSDUDS were also most impressive on their debut. A solid win over the reigning premier has fired a shot across the bow of the competition and @Feenix is now off to a *ahem* mediocre start to his premiership defence. Meanwhile, @wycbloodsopened up a bemusement park as he stayed true to last year's form of not being able to win matches. Bloods points vanished just when he needed them most and once again they've gone missing when there are four points on the line, much to the delight of the third newcomer to the league Chops Clots.

Perhaps one of the most significant victories of the weekend was the tight win by Richo Richo Man over Ecky's Fevolas. @Ecky barely lost a match in the minor round last year while Richo finished well outside the eight so that is a significant reversal for @CoverKing. Other winners included Captain Who back in scoring form, the reliable @Q. man, regular opening round winner Sharks, Summer of George and TEAM_@FISH who won a close one against the REBCats.

Have to say lads that this league is quite scary these days and this reporter reckons his days may be numbered at this level. The league rank is 150 which is insane. Usual ranking progression by Hogg leagues is to steadily improve so it will be interesting to see how high we can get this year. The match of the round is DAISYSDUDS vs. Richo Richo Man, two teams who have been in awesome form so far this season. Traditionally this is the time of year to hold trades so it will be interesting to see if these two probable contenders dig deep to get the early win or take the risk and keep the powder dry.

Looks like a cracking season boyos. Good luck in round 2. (Except for Roosters )

@daysofourlivesis the man who would be king after winning a thriller against @CoverKing as DAISYSDUDS got the chocolates by a mere 24 points. Close matches were the order of the round as Captain Who won by three points as @Groover stayed unbeaten while @Hondo remains winless for the season. It doesn't get any closer than a draw and that's what happened when Summer of George and Q Before You couldn't be separated after nine matches of league football. There were plenty of other close games as well in this highly competitive league so picking winners appears to be almost impossible in season 2022.

TEAM_FISH have probably started the season the best with two wins over two sides who made the finals last year with a win over Semi Finalist REBCats and win over the reigning premier Mediocre this week. @FISH topped the scoring this week but a note to Delicious as they too topped 2300 as they opened their account at the expense of the Fevs. Other teams to open their account this week are Inner Sanctum, @wycbloods and Watts who had a comfortable win over Chops who appear to be dragging the chain a bit with scoring.

A quick look at the ladder (well I'm certainly not dwelling on it), shows that three of last year's top six are propping up the table. All three sides are badly needing a win with my Cats up against my nemesis Mediocre a big match this week. The match of the round though is not between these stragglers but The Far Callers vs. Watts & Mots. Watts bounced back strongly last week while The Far Callers had a rare wonky week. Another loss by the callers here while see them drop out of the top eight with Watts keen to back up a strong season in Premier last year. I'm liking Watts to get this win as I reckon the Far Callers are a real 'roar home' type of team who are a touch more vulnerable now than they might be in July. A big opportunity for Watts this one.

Yep Heeney over Butters pretty well won it for me
