That's All Folks [/2022]

A decent game to start the season off with most of the usual suspects getting amongst the points to kick off the season. I reckon the Dees and Dogs are the two most supercoach relevant teams...REB's review below.

BONT - Got hurt so score impacted.
GAWN - a few frees against, a few marks dropped and some forward time as well. Don't panic yet Maxy owners but Dogger looks a threat.
TRELOAR - Went missing in the second half against the best team in the league. Jury's out
ENGLISH - Outstanding effort for those that had the balls to select him. Not sure he sustains that if Martin or Sweet are included.
JUNKLEY - Junkley doing Junkley things. He's a must have really.
JACRAE - Not his greatest game but scored well anyway. See above.
CLARRY - A lot of coaches opted to not to pick him up hoping for a price dip but I get on the Clarry train every year and he's yet to disappoint
DALE - Sneaky chipscab defender who looks a nice safe boring bet in the backline
LITTLEMAN - Dale taking some of his chips so might not represent the value
PETRACCA - Everyone who hasn't taken him (which is a lot of us) is kicking themselves right now. Charlie beckons in 2022
ICESMITH - He's not going to suck us all in again like he did last year is he?

Plenty of SC relevant players in that lot...not quite so many tonight I think. (Dusty, Short, Cripps, Curnov, Gov, Hewitt).

I jumped on English, hit outs and his goal scoring tilted me towards him, I had the VC on Petracca, also had Dunkley and Treloar.

Dusty scored well for not doing much.

I had Darcy in the ruck but now have to decide do I go Grundy or Nic Nat.

I left Macrae alone this season, same as Bont, kept hold of Tim Kelly despite missing this week as I think he's going to have stellar year with WCE struggling for other quality midfielders.

i went even more on a limb, putting English in my fwd line and running with Grundy and Draper, bit of a punt on Draper, if itfails i just swing English into the ruck.

I've sat Preuss on my bench, I have Dixon on the bench in the fwd line who is a R/FWD, I'm undecided on Grundy and Nic Nat for the other ruck role, one misses games on a regular basis and the other was little down on numbers last year, Grundy is usually my first picked.

By the end of the year, every coach will aspire to have Grawndy, why waste trades, lock it away now.

Well an absolute shocker for Crisp who looked anything but tonight. With Howe back and Maynard out he didn't get near it. Never had the bloke before and now I know why. Hopefully he delivers premium points like I paid for next week. Meanwhile, the first nomination for the annual Relton Roberts award appears to be Owens who I stupidly brought in hoping to make some cash. When you don't make your B/E in your debut it doesn't look good from a career perspective. Someone who certainly doesn't have that issue is Hayes who had a cracking debut and his third term in particular kept the Saints in the match. Naicos was predictably good but he will be a non-factor really due to his ridiculously high levels of ownership.

A lot of coaches got caught out by Darcy, and Lloyd as well. Feel sorry for any coach who made the change from Lloyd to Crisp who scored a shithouse 67, a score that's been beaten by a few rookies already.

It's rookie day today and JHF certainly looks the part with a 71 today. For the Hawks Ward looked miles off and he had low TOG and got hurt late and barely made his breakeven. Maginuess tried hard but made an error nearly every time he had the ball in the first half but might have secured his spot for at least another week with a good goal and a solid second half. Now it's time for Rachelle Rachelle.

Hayes and N.Martin on the bench.

Do I burn a trade already to get rid of Nic Nat? He's always been a bogey player for me, I get rid of him and he churns out high 100's, I have him and he stinks up and then gets injured.

I'd wait another week for the correctives. I wouldn't have gone near Nat with a barge pole this year. He was Fatanui last year and his manboobs are bigger than mine this year. Looks pretty cooked to me. Of course you'd expect a hurrah from such a good player but that explosiveness he used to have is no longer there. Witts or Tenglish would be an excellent downgrade. You'd only burn a trade this week if you missed all three of Rachelle, Martin and Hayes. Most coaches would have at least two of those.

Because Jackson will eat Gawn's points. I started with Grawndy but I was quite alarmed when Maxxy didn't smash out a massive score against his bunnies the Dogs. He will still average 105 though so if someone can average 95-100 for hundreds of thousands cheaper then it must be worth a look.

It's a massive start for @Mythical Creature who ringed the shed in the first round of the Hogg. Most teams did very well in what was a pretty good opening round as most of the popular rookies went large. Props as well to my brother in law the Kiwi who as the number one seed in Divvy II laid down an early marker. The other star of the first round was the prez @wycbloods who was the top scorer in Premier and third overall. **** sake chasing already lol.

Dusty isn't in doubt, he's OUT. It would be a wait and see for next week then a corrective in case he can't get back on the field.
Walsh - In
Cerra - Out
Bailey Smith - Out
N Martin - Out
J Martin - Out

Carnage starting already and we haven't even start the matches yet. Not a great week for dudes called Martin.

Marshall, English and Darcy probably the only ones capable of that. Marshall and English scores go down when their clubs play a 2nd ruckman and Darcy always looks like he's carrying an injury.

I have Tenglish and the 3 rookies you mentioned.

Do the BE's come into effect after this round or next?

I'm pissed that I fell for the Nic Nat experiment again.
