Advice on venues to watch tonights game please?

Postby JK » Mon Jun 26, 2006 1:21 pm

G'day guys,

Just wondering if many of you have gone out to watch the Aussies in the Cup games thus far, and if so where might be a good place to watch the action, bearing in mind the group of lads I'm going with want to be able to drink and smoke freely enough.

Any tips on venue, and what time you need to be there by etc would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
CP

Here are some places I know that have it on. I dropped my housemate at the Casino for the last game at about 4am and the line was out past parliment house. Coopers Alehouse was busy for the last game but people could still get in. Not sure how busy the other places have been. I'm just trying to decide where to watch it myself.

Rosemont, i would be aiming to get there before 10:30 cos it packs out quite early, its a very good place to watch the World Cup.
i went to P.J. O'briens for a couple of the England games, and that was quite good on the balcony, but the Rosemont is the better option for sure.
the bonus with a venue on either Hindley or Rundle is that the after match partys are always on those streets.
