Whats Pim's problem with Travis Dodd?

Travis Dodd massively over rated. Scores a cracker goal by taking on 3-4 defenders looks brilliant and is in the highlight reel, then goes missinhg for the next 3 weeks.

Very lazy as well, watch how much faster he runs when Adelaide have the ball compared to when hie chases after given the ball up from trying to do to much.

He is also the first player in the United side to start screaming at players and spitting the dummy when he doesn't get given the ball.

No where nere in the same class as Thompson, Allsopp Griffiths, Van Dyke or any of the top shelf wide players getting around in the A-League.

I disagree. He played 1 game for Australia and was BOG by a country mile scoring once and setting up another. He is better than half of that squad and should be starting in this game.

I agree he did play a cracker then, but 1 good game doesn't make a better player. he drifts in and out of games way to much, has no consisitency. The only player i think he would be better than in that squad is Robert Cornthwaite. :?

I would like to know what SJABC, DA and JTC think on this issue?

DA & JTC would find it hard to commentate on as they would've seen Doddy very few times.

My opinion. Pim is correct. He did have that cracker of a game for Australia, but since the
quarter finals of the ACL, he's looked jaded and hasn't had an impact.

Need to remember up to the quarters, he was being talked about going to every Japanes & Korean club
out there. Since the quarters nothing.

When he's on song I'd say take him, but at the moment he's not presenting enough, when the ball
is played to him, too often he tries to get around two defenders instead of looking for a better option.
Been many times lately when he's in the opposition half, and the ball is turned over to United, yet he
hasn't made the effort to quickly get back onside, thus forcing our blokes to kick backward.
His first touch has deserted him as well. Too many times his touch puts the ball a foot further out then it should
be and this allows the defender to clear easily.

Drops his head too often as well. If he wasn't the Captain I'd even go as far and say he should start on the
bench and be a more impact sort of player as his fitness is lacking ATM.

Good player when on. Terrible when off. Hopefully on Saturday night the Doddy of old is back.
The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated
