Shocking defending for the goal.

The first rule of defending a corner is to have a man on each post, why no one was standing on the back post I do not know.

It seems that Muskat has redeemed himself (if that is ever possible) with converting a penalty against Kawasaki last night in Melb. From the table below, the goal difference, and a game against Seongnam to come you'd think they still can't make it.

Team GP W D L GF GA +/- Pts
SEONGNAM ILHWA FC (KOR) 4 4 0 0 8 1 7 12
BEIJING GUOAN (CHN) 4 2 0 2 5 5 0 6
KAWASAKI FRONTALE (JPN) 4 1 0 3 5 6 -1 3
MELBOURNE VICTORY (AUS) 4 1 0 3 1 7 -6 3

I can't believe they let Chinese sides play in this comp. It is pretty well known by the locals that thier league games are determined by the size of bung the ref gets and if you are not winning by half time, you go and give him another one, all allegedly of course.

Strange game, soccer. We lost, but still get home game in round of 16, sometimes it helps to be lucky! WHo will we play, and is it a one-off game, or over two legs?

One-off game at Hindmarsh on Wednesday May 12 either against Kashima Antlers (Japan) or Jeonbeouk Motors (Korea)

The quarters and semi's are over two legs
