FFS the NAFC/AUFC merger continues, now even trading in players!

Will the former NAFC footballer Teeboy get a start for United tonight.

Having had a bit to do with Teeboy (mate of my son) as he has been growing up in Adelaide I can say with confidence he could of made it at AFL level if he had pursued it a little harder. I coached him for 2 seasons playn AFL and he is without doubt the best junior footballer (AFL) I have seen in my 10 plus years of involvement in jnr footy. Kicks both feet very very well(40+ mtrs left or right as a 13 y o), great hands, is quick as a hare and playn AFL was no way shy in using his strength and body to tackle and make an impact. Would of been lucky to play 4 or 5 games for Nth Adel in their U13 special squad but made an impression. His mother was always hell bent on him playn soccer and I am very happy for him as are his mates from Prospect North PS, Black Friars and the Gepps Cross Junior FC. Also a very good cricketer. Go Teeboy you have made us all proud to of known you and all the best for your future.

Well and truely the laughing stock of the A-League

Coolen has quit his position with the Youth side and has left the club. He will be taking it to the grievance court at FFA. This is going to turn very nasty IMO. He deserves to be paid out in full

Lot better effort tonight, still sloppy at the back but at least the players showed intent and looked like they wanted to be out there.

Happy with the effort, but geez we should have come away with the points. Clear penalty when McFlynn hacked the back of (cant remember who) when we tried to scramble the second on the line. And Ramsey's late chance. Mind you their second was a miss kick  oh well, good to see them play with a bit of passion for once!

Great move.
Now if we can only piss McKain off to to the State League all will be good.

regional game, think the ffa pick the venue
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

I though Pt Pirie might have been a chance. Plenty of soccer interest and have sides in the state league, facilities are not bad. Been up there a few times to watch my nephew and the pitch seemed a decent standard. Obviously wouldnt hold a huge crowd but it would have been packed out. Pt Pirie City's ground is small but was Northern Demon's ground was well maintained and looked like it could hold 4-5,000 people, very impressed with their setup. Reckon it could host an A-League game, and its only about 90 minutes away from Adelaide so logistically easy.

the main oval at the mount can hold 10,000 & they got that when they played a pre season friendly there back in 08, the mount has 30,000 ppl not including surronding towns, pirie is good enough for state but demed not good enough for a-league by ffa, no idea why seems good enough for me but then agian I am not in charge of the ffa. had also heard darwin was a posibility as the ffa have built a stadium up there that.can hold 15,000 but only 1 seated grandstand the rest all grass and adelaide seems to be the most followed a-league team up there plus the work the club does in the nt. so all three seems like more logical, viable options for the reds, but we all know the ffa only care about money more than building the game.
