Even if the quality has been poor at times it is still one of the closest seasons in memory.
Only 6 points seperate 5-10 with all teams still a chance to make playoffs with 4 games remaining.
The new playoff format will be interesting with no double chances this season and all matches cut throat anyone could win it, except United ;)

Sydney beat the Mariners 2 nil, not a good time for the Mariners to start a form slump.
WSW with the chance to extend their lead at the top today.

Mariners finally back to winning form beating Brissy 1 nil tonight, should have been about 5 nil.
Good effort after only getting back from Japan on Friday.

I might go to the Victory v Glory game this week as there's not much else to do next Saturday night in Melb with a young lad in tow, an interesting game to choose as my first A League experience!

Brisbane beat the Heart and move up to 5th
Heart now cant make finals
Sets up a great last round with 4 sides fighting for 2 spots, could come down to GD

Thursday
Brisbane divers v Sydney Smurfs

Friday
Newcastle v WSW

Saturday
CCM v Melbourne Heart
Perth Glory v AUFC

Sunday
Sheep Shaggers FC v Melbourne Victory

WSW need a draw to claim top spot, if this happens CCM have said they will field their youth team against Melbourne Heart.

CCM need to win and hope that WSW lose to finish top

Brisbane and Sydney both need a win to guarantee a finals spot, a draw will do for both teams if BOTH Perth & Newcastle lose or draw.

Perth need to win to play finals, or draw and hope that Brisbane win... (i feel :vom: writing that)

Newcastle need to win, hope that Perth lose/draw and either brisbane or sydney win/draw

they have taken 6000 + away supporters with them and there is good crowd in newcastle.
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas
