United won 3-0 in the ACL qualifier and are now in the main draw.
Boogard, Levchenko and Van Dijk all scoring.
Did it without Kossi who isnt qualified for the ACL, not sure if he is going to get his badge for the competition proper.

The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Pathetic once again, season over.
Lets the culling begin.
Thought the Sunday mail was fairly kind in today's article towards United, I wouldnt think more than 2 or 3 would hold their spot. Mc Kain and Boogaard would be the first 2 to go IMO.
Please dont sign up Kossie for next season, appreciate him stepping in but time to get on the phone to Bleiberg ASAP

Looks like United might not go through to the AFC with Cassios red card

ASIAN soccer officials are tonight expected to deliver a verdict on whether Adelaide United was in breach of the regulations after fielding Cassio last week.

Asian Football Confederation officials tonight told AdelaideNow a decision will handed down tonight .

The Brazilian featured in the club's AFC Champions League qualifier against Indonesia's Persipura last Thursday but there was a question mark hanging over his appearance.

Cassio was red carded in the club's final 2010 AFC Champions League appearance which usually means a player is suspended for the next match in the same competition.

If Cassio is deemed an ineligible player, Persipura could be handed a 3-0 win and lay claim to participating in the Champions League Group E alongside Uzebekistan's Bunyodkor, Japan's Gamba Osaka and Korea Republic's Pohang Steelers.

But Persipura would need to win the Court of Arbitration for Sport's hearing next month - on whether its standing in the Indonesian ``rebel'' league qualifies it for the AFC Champions League.

Another poor display. Shambles at the back, their goal came from play that an under 10's would have snuffed out.
I couldnt blame Eugene if he handed in a transfer request, how can anyone be motivated to play when you have defenders like Boogaard infront of you, 11 straight without a clean sheet says it all.
Piss em all off and start from scratch

Only started watching the game from the 21st minute, it took until the 92nd minute before I saw an Adelaide shot on goal that Kennedy had to make an effort to save. A spiritless effort in a disappointing season. Bring on Bleiberg and next season. [-o<

The question has to be asked, could we have been any worse under Coolen?

Fabian Barbiero has been charged with an off the ball assault and has been suspended for 4 matches.
He is still eligible to play champions league though

Much better effort against Brisbane.
Pity that probably our best player in Caravella had a slight lapse and gifted them an equaliser, a real shame because he was superb today.
After a long road trip it was a great result.
Roar should have had a penalty near the end but we will take it.
