Personally, I hope Pim stays on, but by all accounts, he's finished in July.

Out of curiosity what have you seen in Pims coaching that makes you want him to remain DA?

I will certainly be waiting until June / July before forming an opinion either way on whether i would like to see him stay or go.

Results. He's copped criticism left right and centre, but still got the required results.

I like the defensive style we are playing at the moment. The Italians and the Germans have proved time and again that defence is key. (IMO - we are not capable of playing an attacking style with flair like Brazil)

He has a super tough job basically rotating 2-3 sets of players, depending on whether we see our opponent worthy of bringing home our OS stars.

He's given some young blokes a go, but chosen our strongest team when required. He doesn;t seem to play favourites.

Basically, IMO, he's done nothing to suggest he shouldn't be given an extension.

Perfectly put DA. He's just qualified us for a World Cup & Asian Cup. I don't give a rats arse if Australia win 1 nil every game as long as it means making finals of big tournaments.

Da is right, Australia need to stop thinking like Brazil about its how you play that counts, no its not results is the only thing that matters, also if Australia apply the Brazil mentalty dont expect to much succsess to about 2022 so the the current 10-12 year old kids can learn the beautiful game and the system, then Australian fans can think like that also that system has to been put into place by a technical director which every state orginisation has to follow from seniors down to the lowest level and age group.

With the current system in place and till everyone is working with it, Australia should play the way they are now result based football, it may be boring but the only thing that counts is that you win, draw or qualify, Italy won the last world cup you think there fans care for one second that it was boring defensive type football... no all they care about is that they won the cup and in the end the team that likes to entertian Brazil went out of the cup to a team who plays result based football France and in the Final it was 2 result based football teams in it France V Italy.

Spot on.

Italy were under the pump big time against us. But they dug in, held us out and then bent us over.

But it works.

I'm not saying that we'll win the world cup playing this style, but I'll bet that we'll have a good chance of progressing from our group if we're tight at the back.
