Sydney Thunder wear green in case you hadn't noticed. Still 2nd on the table so everyone below united can't say much at the minute.

Yes you are second on the ladder but you still have a list of embarrassing incidents like no other club in the country

Yes we do, It must be like following West Ham ;)

no your right having your bitter old washed up hack of captain hack the heck out of a youngster and basicly ruin his career is a far more respectful thing to do.
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

No he was a dirty thug of player who deserves less respect than joey barton and el haj douif and his something far less than a human hence why everyone in world hated the man and rangers would never risk him in old firm.

ross maybe wasnt the greatest and his punditry is well not much to be desired but he was hardly a thug (one or two moments don't make a thug).

Muscat use those tactics the entire way he could get and keep a job, they didn't hire him the player they hired the thug he was so he would do the dirty work for everyone else and even if he could play doesn't justify the fact he ruined a young kid/mans lively hood because he was thug.

oh i am well aware of our embarasing results, but 5-0 is as bad s 6-1 and you guys have loss by 2 or more goals a few times this season...we only have 6-1 this season.

Surely someone who watches as much football as you could see that Muscat was a very talented footballer who always tipped toes the line.

The tackle on the young lad wasn't great but as you even said one or two moments don't make u a thug, much like hundreds of players before him like Roy Keane, Vinny Jones he played a role in a side of which 99% was bluffing the nut case attitude.

At least he kept his actions to being on the field unlike a current A-league coach who feels its appriopate to man handle opposition players when his not even playing. Another embarrasing Adelaide United moment where they were sucked in by the Victory and made to look stupid again

Wow your a clown. Muscut is the only player I'm aware of that was purposely not played in Derbys because he was such a thug. Do some research. You keep proving that your a glory hunter haven't had a voice for 2 weeks

Muscat was a talentless hack.
Voted the most despised player in England for several years running.
Whilst Jones, Keane etc were thugs they atleast had the skill to play decent football when they wanted to, Muscat was a b grader at best

A loss to AU in a meaning less minor round game is of little importance to Victory fans hence the lack of interest in posting! Plus I didn't see the game was in the members at the Strikers so can't really comment on something I didn't watch!

Ahh United

-had Ross Aloisi as captain and player (wannabee Muscat)
-the GF pumping
- the embarrasing post match press conference after both GF's
-the pissant town
- having a coach who couldn't coach them because he didn't have the correct quals
- manager grabbing players during a game
- wooden spoon
- the rini coolen debacle
-let's offer a trial to a player who doesn't exsist
-Jims plumbing sponsorship on front oh strip looked ridiculous
- not being able to find an owner for ages
-continued failures against the victory in finals
-racist fans
-getting a five goal hammering by a team in their first year in front of own supporters
- losing 'arguably' their greatest player to their biggest rival

I'm sure I have probably forgotten a few more as well, a history to be proud of, even funnier is it paired with zero premierships

The closest Adelaide have got to the premiership was when Muscat lifted it twice!

Yes but when we fail it is only seen by an audience in Australia.
You guys have disgraced yourself on the world stage on numerous occassions.
How embarassing that the champion of Australia has failed to get out of the group stage in the ACL against the might of teams from Vietnam and Thailand. Victory's pathetic effort this year was seen by billions across Asia.

I love all of sudden how big and important the Asian Champions League, before we moved into Asia no one even cared this comp existed, Mickey Mouse comp for Aussie sides considering the team who wins the A-League is a imitation of the side who plays in the champions league.

Give me 2 A-League titles over one embarrasing champions league final performance any day of the week!

Would definately take 2 titles, not denying that but when you are trying to grow the sport and prove to the world how improved the league is it is embarassing that our champions cant even get out of the group stage.
An ACL trophy is a bigger prize than the A-League title, all Aussie sides need to start treating it more seriously

I agree they should be taking it more serious! Is funny though how style of play can be so suited to one comp yet struggle in another, United very Liverpoolesque and the other way Victory like Man City

Unfortunately I don't think the A-league teams will take as serious due to its timing.

Also is a joke that when United made the final the only A-league team to not profit from there performance was United.

Also why should A-league teams take it serious when the FFA don't even offer assistance in rescheduling games to help with the fixture congestion.

Is the congestion really that bad?
I think in Australia we still the mentality that sides cant play more than once in a week or that it is possible to play midweek games. If a side travels to Asia they should probably have their A-League games played on a Sunday or Monday. We see overseas leagues play sometimes 3 times in a week.
If the A-League is to become more professional we need to be playing more than 1 game per week if required

Very true it's more a mental issue,

But getting to Uzbekistan from Oz is alot more difficult and time consuming than Man U getting to Spain or Portugal etc

That is true but the ACL games are midweek.
That week you Adelaide should play Friday night/ Saturday travel to Uzbekistan midweek and then their following A-League game could be pushed back to a Tuesday/Wednesday night but the league seem reluctant to schedule games midweek for some reason
