And the Mariners get one out of one under Mossy with an extra time volle by the Duke!

Thank christ too, thought we were destined for another draw.

I watched Adelaide United for the first time this year and wasn't too impressed. What's with our midget front line and the highest defending line I've ever seen? I can see how Victory tore us apart even with 10 men. I'm still pissed we lost Van Djik.

Nice win to the Mariners tonight, good to get the 3 points and play better than last week.
Might go to my first A League game next week so there's a very good chance Adelaide will win.

Got my tix. First soccer game since going to hundreds of matches in the NSL 1977 - 1996.
Come say gudday, my son and I will probably be the only people in the away supporters bay!
If were not, we're in the 3rd row on the aisle.
Not confident as Adelaide are overdue for a win but I'll be there cheering the champions none the less.

Thanks for 3 points Wedgie

No probs mate, I called it!

AU way too good, I was very worried going into the game as we've been playing awful and getting away with draws and wins where AU have been playing well and losing, was only a matter of time before the stars alligned like they did today.

A fun day though, first time I've been to Hindmarsh since the stadium was redeveloped, hadn't been there since the mid 90s, its a great place, just a pity only 7000 people rocked up.

Laughs of the day were when Adelaide United fans told us to go back to Queensland so the Mariners started a "We're just a small town in Queensland " song, and then we were told we're going to hell! lmao

Weirdly the 20 odd CCM fans were louder than the AU fans in the last 20 mins of the game when it was over but a highlight was when the AU crowd up the Northern end were getting the other sides to sing "United" in response to their cheer of "Adelaide", that was pretty cool.

Well done AU, too good, we seem to have ordinary years even 2nd year lately, it continues!

Kossie should concentrate on writing about the quality of football in the A League not Gombau's spit ( today's article in the sunday mail )
He loves having a crack at all AU coaches, i wish he'd shut the f... up.
Not happy coz the club refused to discipline Gombau, good on the club for not doing so, let him concentrate on his job & if anyone sticks their un-needed nose into his business or wants to backstab him, be ready for some return fire, its got f..k all to do with Kossie, he just likes to stir more shit up by the sounds of it.
His paragraph " its really simple-the A League is about winning "..... no shit Kossie, all sports are about winning at that level, we all know that & Gombau i'm sure knows that aswell. I'm confident like i said last week they'll turn their form around just show some patience & support the coach & players with constructive support not negative backstabbing jibes.
Didn't Postecoglou introduce the same game plan at Brisbane Roar & their 1st year was a fizzer finishing 2nd bottom or bottom, then they got it right & went on to winning 2 consecutive titles??
It does take a little time some game plans & why is it different if Adelaide are in a similar position? It doesn't mean Gombau has disrespected the League, the Club & the Fans like Kossie says, it doesn't mean because theirs no relegation Gombau & Adelaide United are thinking they can rebuild, Gombau is trying to make a complete transition from Adelaide United's "old" game plan to this new tiki taka & long range one & is getting crucified for doing so.
GO U REDS.

Here we go again. Why the **** do coaches think bringing their sons into a squad will end well?

It's not like either of them are Steven Gerrard ffs
