Countered again :(

The tempo has just been crap, we have knocked it around with no real purpose so Perth could just sit back and wait for us to cough it up.

When you play 3 wingers up front that will be the result. They havnt got the technical nouse to get into scoring positions so they are forced to knock it around until they look for something clearer. Even if they have to play a kid they must put a out and out striker in the side

Pick ya dummy up champ...

Why do A league teams insist on wearing the away strip even when there isnt a clash?? I would have thought the Sydneyesque shirt worn today was more of a clash than the normal red that AUFC wear

Yeah, you would think a team called the 'Reds' would wear red if they could. It's probably about selling shirts.

A league is pretty tough to watch at the best of times but watching the Reds at the moment is like pulling teeth. It's such a frustrating code that is made more frustrating by a club that doesn't have any strikers and aren't in sync with the game plan, that's assuming we have one. Perhaps bigger A League fans than myself could tell me why Adelaide never seem to get or retain the big players? Are we broke or what?

We have had the best keeper in the league for 4 out of the past 7 years, one player who played for the socceroos (Elrich), young player of the year (Jeggo), and Carrusca was in the running for the best player in the league last year, but didnt manage to win it.

but yeah it also seems like we wont fork out the big dollars for a marquee signing like melbourne or sydney will

Thats not much of an advantage in the A-League, one thing Australia doesn't lack is quality goal keepers, nearly all the A-League sides have good keepers Theo, Glen Moss, Vukovic, Covic.

Carrusca is a top-draw player. The strikers are injured, and we stupidly got rid of Ferreira, meaning that we've no decent right wing player following Mabil's move to Denmark.

I think we'll get better but fifth or sixth place is the best we can hope for.

Ours, he only had a short contract. Palanca was a plonker.

Palanca was a decent player just not by time we got him, too injury prone and lost a yard of pace

Adelaide simply can't compete with the Eastern states for a gun marquee, they can offer far more than us via media/advertising exposure. Doesn't help that the owners of AU are tight wads and have no interest loosening the purse strings
