Advertiser report

Postby JessicaRabbit69 » Mon Feb 20, 2006 1:08 pm

Couldn't believe the coverage of the Adelaide United v Sydney clash in today's Advertiser. Perhaps I missed it somewhere, but I couldn't find a single reference to when Adelaide plays next and against who. (It's Central Coast on Sunday as far as I'm aware).

I don't know how they could miss something as crucial as this. Un-f...ing-believable. I guess we shouldn't expect too much from the Advertiser by now.

Agreed Rabbit69, even the write up on the game was sub-standard to say the least, don`t think our beloved gospel (The Advertiser) could be bothered sending one of our reporters over to the East, so they must have taken the story from one of their un-biased (Hmmmm) reporters, which gave us great reading on how Sydney deserved the win and as they are the marquee team deserve the home grand final. Commentators were terrible, so pro-Sydney it was funny, one day Robbie Slater will stop refering to Sydney as "us" or "we`re", bag full of pish!!

At least Slater bucked the trend of other commentators (and fellow host) at half time by saying that he thought Adelaide had actually been the better of the two for the majority of the period ... But in the main, agreed, the bias week-in week-out begins to grate a little after a while ...

The Advertiser probably isn't aware there's any other clubs in the A League besides, very similar to their AFL coverage, I think only the Port and Crows play in the AFL.
