Totally agree with you, can't tell me these 2 are not in the best 21 players in Australia? Dodd would go close to being THE best in the A League FFS!

Here's the squad.
Danny ALLSOPP Melbourne Victory
Billy CELESKI Melbourne Victory
Shannon COLE Sydney FC
Robert CORNTHWAITE Adelaide United
Tarek ELRICH Newcastle Jets
Eugene GALEKOVIC Adelaide United
Dean HEFFERNAN Central Coast Mariners
Scott JAMIESON Adelaide United
Dylan MACALLISTER Central Coast Mariners
Matthew McKAY Queensland Roar
Craig MOORE Queensland Roar
Tom PONDELJAK Melbourne Victory
Paul REID Adelaide United
Matt SIMON Central Coast Mariners
Michael THEOKLITOS Melbourne Victory
Archie THOMPSON Melbourne Victory
Matthew THOMPSON Newcastle Jets
Nikolai TOPOR-STANLEY Perth Glory
Rodrigo VARGAS Melbourne Victory
Danny VUKOVIC Central Coast Mariners
Michael ZULLO Queensland Roar
Pretty well much the strongest squad from the A-League ranks.
Little bit surprised about the Big O not getting a call up but perhaps his speed may not be suited for a game against the
Indonesian's.
Not really surprised about Doddy either. Since the ACL his form has waned probably due to the heavy workload.
Well done Eugene, Cornflakes, Reidy & Jamo though !!

How does Cornthwaite get a gig? Am I the only one who sees how terrible he his week in week out? Teams have worked out if he plays Right Back to attack his wing and he crumbles, have a look at yesterdays game for example.

I doubt he will get a start. Jamo will, Eugene is a possibility and Reid might.

Well deserved spot in the squad by Jamieson. He's really developed over the last 12 months...

Fair call .. I must admit I thought his rating was a little high a few months back, but Ive been ultra impressed with his work ethic and tenacity.

Not a bad result considering the squad and time it was assembled in....
Get a draw/win against Kuwait in Canberra, and then for the other qualifiers our big guns will be available so should get through.....

It was a bit crap and boring but at least the lads didn't lose. The conditions were pretty ordinary too with 100% humidity. I'd rather this 40+ dry heat.

Does Allsopp know how to pass a ball?
All he seems to do is try to break through thro 3 defenders every time
