After a goalmouth scramble, a flighted left-foot cross fell to Simon, who booted the ball in the roof of the net about nine minutes into the game.
The huge crowd erupted after Simon's first goal.
Soon afterwards, midfielder Michael McGlinchley goaled for the Mariners. McGlinchley's long shot from outside box deflected and sailed into the goal.

Posted: Fri Aug 07, 2009 5:30 pmLooking forward to tonight's game...the whole family has been looking forward to it for weeks actually , especially my wife, shame she can't make it though, she's got pneumonia....
So if you see a guy trying to control his 4 and 6 year old boys who have lost interest after about 15 minutes, pray for me...
