A-League in trouble??

The aritcle says the North Queensland Fury boss is reducing his stake in the club and the FFA is in $20m debt. If the FFA are looking at expanding I honeslty think if the a-league has this 16 club in the top div total they are going for after Sydney Rovers, basicly they should give one to Canberra and Tasmian and then hit the brakes seeing as these to 2 bids seem already to be going though the process and may even be added to join with Sydeny rovers or the season after.

I guess its up to the clubs and the ffa to make sure clubs dont price fans out of games brisbane the best example of that and with the tv rights up in 2011 I think. Its up to the ffa to maybe do a half, full type deal with fox and sbs or one, just like foxs have with 7 and 10 for the afl where every game is shown on fox and once it gets to 12 teams maybe have 2 free to air games and a highlights package and try to get the crowds up also they would have 2 lots of tv revenue and maybe sell the game to world sport group from asia and get them to show the games over there as the is international market we should sell to.

we should take expanding slowly and take on the j-league and mls modles in the way they grew the pro leauges over there slowly aswell as consolidating at the same time also like the mls we need what they call sss (Soccer Spesefic stadiums) even over there they are not many huge ones but they take care of there needs. Perth, us, melbourne heart and melbourne victory would have problems of corse they would have to force both melbourne teams to play all there regular season games at the new retagular stadium, so I think if you add the possible version of the tv rights with the slow expanisions, consolidation and every club have there own stadiums and I think the game could become profitbale here in Australia we just need to think small steps not conquer the world.

try to fix the grammer errors hopefully that helps.

The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

I don't think the A-League is in trouble, it takes time for a new sports league to bed itself down and become part of the sports landscape. Not many people know this but America's almost invincible NFL was almost brought to its knees within 10 years of starting only to be 'saved by a sweetheart TV deal that prolonged it enough to gain a foothold in the consciousness of the yanks. And this was with gridiron being the number 1 game (college level gridiron ruled up to that point.) There is a new tv deal in the pipeline for the FFA which it is rumoured will bankroll all current clubs entire costs( including a rise in the Salary cap) if this is true, then the A-League will continue its rise up the charts. remember, in world football terms, the A-League is 17th in total attendances, and this in a country the size of ours where away travel is such a pain in the arse. On a per capita basis, the HAL is 5th worldwide in attendances. All new leagues go through a mini-boom to begin with then a plateau as support settles and becomes crusted on(J.League/MLS/K.League) they've all hit early peaks and then consolidated (the J.League and MLS are currently experiencing their best attendances ever), It'll probably be another 5 years before the A-League surpasses the highs of season 2. Until that date, I see the Socceroos will continue to be the cash-cow for the HAL. I'm currently looking for the source data on the interwebz, I have seen it before, just got to find it again.
C'mon you Reds....Adelaide United = its just like watching Brasil!!!

I love both footy[NOT the V/AFL!] and soccer, is that even allowed??;)
