watched it live and although the first 75 mins were entertaining, the next 5 or so were terrible until Adelaide conceded while trying to hold possession. Thye had complete control and then tried to slow the game down which frustrated the whole crowd. 30 seconds before the goal Mrs NG (who has very little to no knowledge of football) turns to me and says, 'if they score now it'll be a rel dampener on a great match'... then BANG, terrible backpass by Cassio and an undeserved goal to Newcastle...

Leckie and Ramsay have pace to burn. Flores has great touch on the ball and his goal was really nice. I think he went down too easily and played for free kicks though...

On the referee... I think he's been in the same 'look at me' clinic as the AFL umps... many times he made a point to make sure everyone was looking at him. At one point Leckie got hacked and no free was called, he then went off at the ref because it was right in front of him. after the ball went out the ref called Leckie over and had a stern chat to him which, according to the gestures, was along the lines of 'remember i'm the ref'...
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

I think the fact so many Melbourne supporters are used to having a roof is also playing a part in the crowds while its still a little cooler.
