Melbourne Victory on top, going 5 from 5. From what I've seen, the top four- Victory, Roar, AUFC and Sydney FC- should expect to stay there as the rest of the teams so far fail to impress.

That all said, isn't it surreal that we see no Victorian teams in the AFL Grand Final, yet Melbourne teams in the A-League (Victory) and NRL (Storm) are doing exceedingly well?

Well what a trip up to Briz-vegas for round 5.
Had an early flight Friday morning, and it was a very warm 28’ when we landed in Brisbane, beer was soon the goal.
Once we had settled in we headed to a great place called the brewhouse for lunch. After a long day of walking around lovely Brisbane town, and copping the odd Go Roar comment it was time to head to the Pig and Whistle for some pre-match drinks with the Qld Roar supporters, after a pint or 2 we noticed we were the only football fans in the pub, we thought the Roar supporters must have been having us on by telling us to go there, (just like they told Aleks The Beat in the Valley is a great nightclub to go to, but that’s another story) we soon bumped into some Roar fans, and they directed us to the real Pig and Whistle (fancy having to pubs a 5 minute walk from each other with same name)
Once the 3 of us got inside the pub with about 60 Qld supporters the fun started, we were getting a lot of looks at 1st, so we decide to open up with a “Come On You Reds” chant, the Qld fans then started up, and the verbal banter had started , but we soon found out we all hated Melbourne & Sydney, so we had a few songs together.
The “Roar Rejects” are a great bunch, and a credit to their club, the gave us all a free pass for the bus from the pub to the ground, a very fun bus ride, with around 80 Queensland Roar supporters in full voice, and 3 for Adelaide United.
Once we got to the game, we thanked all the Roar Rejects for being so hospitable, and then it was into the ground, and what a ground, Suncorp would have to be one of the best sporting grounds in Australia, just fantastic.
Was good to meet another United fan at the game that lives on the Sunshine Coast.
The game ended in a 0-0 draw, which the Roar fans were not to happy with, but we were, and considered ourselves very lucky.
Was good to chat to Kossie and some of the boys, they thanked us for coming up and apologized for not getting a better result.
We finished of the weekend with a night out on the town, and then at Southbank beach the next day, before heading to the Airport and going home.
