Brisbane Olympic 5-2 Bayswater City (WA) - crowd 917
Adelaide Olympic 4-3 Floreat Athena (WA) - crowd 1,028
Darwin Olympic 0-3 Edgeworth (Nth. NSW) - crowd 1,195
Bulleen (Vic.) 1-1 Moreland (Vic.) (AET - Moreland won 3-2 on pens) - crowd 1,356
Mackay & Whitsundays United 2-1 Coomera (Qld.) - crowd 732
Mt. Druitt (NSW) 2-2 Manly United (AET - Manly United won 4-2 on pens) - crowd 714

A corker tonight at Angle Park. Olympic had a couple of decent early chances before Floreat took a 2-0 lead, the second goal a great free kick. Then Olympic scored three in fifteen minutes in the second half to take a 3-2 lead, the third goal coming from a cracking volley with the goalscorer dumb enough to take his shirt off and earn a second yellow - good night for him. Floreat then equalized before Olympic were awarded a penalty which they converted in the 77th minute to win 4-3. A few questionable ref calls but it was a goal night of end-to-end soccer.

Campbelltown City 1-3 Melbourne City - crowd 3,078
Maitland (Nth. NSW) 0-2 Central Coast - crowd 2,777
Cooma (ACT) 0-2 Hume City (Vic.) - crowd 855
South Hobart 0-3 Marconi (NSW) - crowd 2,617
St. George (NSW) 3-5 Sydney United (AET) - crowd 800

Big crowd at Newton tonight, but a lesser atmosphere than last week IMO. The home side did alright with the ball in the first half, but not so well without it. Their defence tightened up in the second half but they were unable to grab an equaliser.

Adelaide United travel to Melbourne Croatia next week.

Adelaide United and Central Coast progressed to the semis tonight, both in very unconvincing fashion. The Jets had a man sent off early but United were wasteful and have some serious improvement ahead of them.

Adelaide United 1-0 Newcastle United - crowd 4,807
Hume City (Vic.) 0-1 Central Coast - crowd, 1,928

That strip that CCM are wearing tonight is horrid.

It's so easy to not like Matt Simon. Riley McGree was excellent tonight and should have a good year. Had 5 or 6 shots set up on his right foot before he finally scored. Hopefully we can set him u p on his left lfoot a bit more
