Javi Lopez joins United on a 1 year deal.
Absolutely brilliant pick up and a great get to have someone of his caliber join

Good signing. Strange how we needed a striker for years, then when AH Toure emerges as a decent striking option, we actually sign one.

James Troisi quits Adelaide

Adelaide United can advise midfielder, James Troisi, has terminated his contract with the Club.

Director of Football, Bruce Djite, said: “It’s very disappointing to have James come to us and request a termination of his contract so close to the commencement of the season.

“It is vitally important that we have players at Adelaide United who want to be a part of the Club.”

Troisi made 13 appearances for the Reds and scored one goal.

Everyone at Adelaide United thanks James for his time at the Club.

That'll make it like 14 clubs in 11 years.

After the debacle mid week it was good to dispose of the old enemy tonight.
Toure has some real skill and smarts for a 16yo, was hoping he would start tonight.

Said it 12 months ago, the sooner him and his Brother are in a decent European system the better Australia will be for the next 10 years . Could be absolute stars....

Just went down to Brisbane 3-1. We had a young side but Brisbane are ordinary. A decent side would've put five past us. Away form the problem ATM.

Shite defending for their second goal, yes. Panicking, no.

Apart from the 3 points, the midfield looking better (cf. non-existent previously) was a positive.

It's rumoured that the new Spanish guy is Juande (former Perth player). Good player, but we need an attacking MF.
