Australia v Bahrain

Postby blink » Wed Oct 11, 2006 5:24 pm

If we don't win this by at least 2 or 3, we haven't played well enough. Bahrain has sent its Olympic (under-23) team for this match, as it doesn't matter how much they lose by, they can still qualify for the Asian Cup.

What are everyone else's thoughts??

2-0 win, should have been 3-0, but was off-side.

Aloisi was unlucky not to get a double, Bresciano's goal was stunning though.
We lacked imagination going forward and looked shakey at the back, despite dominating possession we only scored twice and really should have had 5 or 6.

The win seals top spot in the group and Australia will now be seeded for the Asian Cup.

Arnold isn't the man for the job. But most of us would've thought that from the word go.

I agree. I dont think he is quite capable of winning us the Asian Cup even though with our talent we would have to be one of the favourites.
