I hate to talk up a talent too early but this kid has it all - firstly his goal last night, left foot back of the heel with the momentum of the ball when everyone expected him to put in towards the near post then the cross to Dodd to set up the sealer...GOLD

hes only 18 but would he go OS at such a young age or play a few more season here...whats the soccer gurus thoughts?

He's gone IMHO, will get snapped up pretty quickly by an english club. Not premiership just yet but could fit in the lower leagues very easily.

NB has the potential to go anywhere...now that we are in the asian zone

does one play ply his trade in the lower leagues of england/scotland or play here with the level here getting better

if adelaide make the asian champions league( there still determining who qualifies from last season)

NB is going to get more exposure from this and still living in adelaide

jeez

and a young afl player cries cos hes only 100-2000 km away from family ...

very good call Ding...I cant stand how AFL players get home sick...FFS you are making plenty doing something you love!!!! its not as if its for the rest of their lives!

I reckon thats the beauty of the A League that these type of players may stay here longer than before as it maybe a better platform for them to play top league here rather than lower leagues in Europe - for that same reason other players will return here quicker than before also..

He needs to improve his first touch, ball retention and strength to take that next step, but Im sure it all achievable for someone so young ... Has great pace, makes the right movements and his execution is excellent, has been the shining light in a resurgent AU season.

yeah, Ive seen all of his AU games so far, and he has been one of our best in all of them, a proven match winner, as seen in Melbourne last week, will be snapped up by a European club within the next couple years, porbably wont even be @ United next season.

I think the Aust U/19 has a major tournament soon so Burns will be on display and I think their will be a few scouts their chasing his signature

Given that he is a NSW boys, I just hope he stays in SA if he remains in the A League for a few more seasons, especially given that Sydney turned their back on the kid and it was Adel Utd who gave him his opportunity

on the national stage in some form soon, i doubt he will be here much longer, if AU are lucky he may be here for 07/08 but it is unlikely, the big European clubs know talent when they see it, and Nathan certainly has plenty, once some International exposure comes, he will be snapped up pretty quick I think..
